Is this WDI's new mantra?

Me: "You guys do know Persian rugs aren't from French Polynesia, right"

WDI: "Yeah. Whatever, close enough."

Me: "You guys do know that Radiator Springs isn't in California, right?"

WDI: "Yeah. Whatever, close enough."

Me: "You guys do know that "Jimmy's space pop culture sci-fi beasties aren't mythological creatures, right?"

WDI: "Yeah. Whatever, close enough."

Me: "You guys do know that there is no country of Arendelle inside of the country of Norway, right?"

WDI: "Yeah. Whatever, close enough.

So much for Disney's legendary attention to detail.

Yeah, whatever. Close enough.

You realize that this thread isn't really a discussion topic, just a list of things that annoy you right?

Whatever, close enough.

Isn't this entire line of thought pretty much Epcot since 1996?

Whilst I agree with some of the complaints, disagree with others, it's also cherry picking a few things and using it to prove an opinion.

The work that they have done in recent years, to me, has seemed to pay close attention to all kinds of little details. Leaving the arguments aside of the content of New Fantasyland, the area itself pays attention to detail at a very high level.
The same looks to be happening at Disney Springs from the bits we see being built.
Carsland, while I have not been myself, has always been talked about in reverent tones from the details perspective.

So while I agree on the Arrendelle abomination, and on nearly every part of Future World these days, it's less cut and dry. The truth, like everything else, tends to lie in the middle somewhere.

I'll admit. This one drove me insane.
I even mentioned it in a letter I wrote to Tom Skaggs a couple of years ago. Then when I got the phone call from the airhead lady who drew the short straw and had to call me to respond to the letter, I mentioned it again, and she had absolutely no clue that Nemo was not set in the Caribbean. She acted like I was really smart to have noticed that...
