I was out at a flea market this past Saturday and found this dish for $0.50.

And was wondering if any one here could tell me about what year this is from?

it more like a small candy dish, it is about 41/2 x 33/4

We got it during the 70's.... It's Legit and yes...it's an ashtray....

I have one too! It was my grandma's. It's an ashtray, I believe, but now it holds my special jewelry.

That's a nice piece (ah, to have nice, individualized merchandise - but a discussion for another time). I agree that it looks like it came from the mid 70's.

Yes, it is an ash tray, I have one that my parents bought it in 1972 on our very first trip to the world. I display it now in my disney shadowbox. Brings back alot of memories.

I have one of those! Cept mine is blue...I use it for a candy dish. My grandmother gave it to me.
