WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?

I just saw a show on TV that gives unsuspecting contestants the chance at a marvelous vacation if they just say YES! My question is IF you had your DISNEY vacation planned and paid for and you were offered a BLIND vacation(say to the Bahamas, Caribbean, etc) all inclusive WITH $1500 cash for spending, what would you do!?

Cancel Disney and reschedule it for another time. Then again you didn't say whether the dates would clash so if they didn't then I'd take both :)

Kinda shocking how many people here only vacation at Disney :/ As awesome as it is, everyone should go out and see the real World. You only live once and Disney ain't going anywhere any time soon.

The Epcot Manifesto
I'd probably take the chance and roll the dice with the suprise vacation. I can (and do) take a Disney vacation as often as I can, and having someone plan out a "perfect" trip for me, all I had to do was show up, I'd probably take it.

Minor caveat: Throwing my kids into the equation. Are they primed and pumped for the Disney trip already? Because nowhere they could send me, aside from one of the other Disney parks around the globe, would be worth telling my kids to forget the Disney trip, we're going somewhere else after they already knew the trip was in the works. If I've not told my kids yet, I'm taking the other trip.

The real world? Where is that theme park?

Disney World as are all theme parks are all artificial. Going round World Showcase does not mean you have been to those countries or experienced anything from that culture. Likewise walking around Hollywood Studios is nothing like visiting Hollywood or a real studio. It's all fake. Why not actually travel the world and see real landmarks and not fake reproductions is what I am getting at. The UK pavilion at Epcot is nothing like the UK, just one large stereotype. The tea and fish and chips taste nothing like what you actually get over here.

Yeh but lets be real, the UK is a bit crap (am I aloud to say crap on here?). London's good for a weekend if you've never been before, some Cities are good for a night out, but most of it is a bit meh. If I hadn't been to Orlando in years and was looking forward to it and then had the surprise of going to Glasgow instead I'd be absolutely gutted.

I've always found the lounge around by the pool/beach holidays extremely boring, which is why Disney is a breath of fresh air. I'd like to visit other places in America, New York and LA for example, but give me Orlando over the Bahamas or Tenerife anyday.

Not all member here only Vacation at Disney. I had vacations in Minnesota, Door County Peninsula, Green Bay, Appleton, small towns in Wisconsin, and take a vacation to Illinois.

Where I live, it is very expensive to travel oversea by plane. One of the reasons I never to California is because of the flight costs. The fact is also, I don't feel comfortable traveling overseas by plane.

I saw that show! The last one took them to Austin. That's just a few hours down the road, and I was thinking how disappointed I would be to trade my vacation for that! (Austin is a great place, but it's no Disney World!) So I vote NO! Keep away from my vacation!

The show the OP talked about is on Travel Channel and it's hosted by Adam Richman from Man Vs. Food fame. "Unsuspecting" people are given a free vacation but to where nobody knows. To answer your question Mr. OP, I say yes. I'd give up Disney for parts unknown.

It's an interesting situation to be in but I'd take the guaranteed Disney vacation any day. As good as the perks maybe from the other option, I love Disney World too much to give it up. As much as I want to see the world, the feeling of pure happiness at Disney World is something I'll never experience elsewhere. And also, I'd rather go through with something that's guaranteed to make me smile, laugh and feel happy than take a chance and the possibility of regret and sorrow.

You could offer me a trillion dollars or a Disney vacation but I'd take the Disney World vacation by a mile. As much as I want to see the world, the feeling of pure happiness at Disney World is something I'll never experience elsewhere. And also, I'd rather go through with something that's guaranteed to make me smile, laugh and feel happy than take a chance and the possibility of regret and sorrow.

My thoughts exactly
