What Would You Add to DtD?

Marketplace expanded on, I think some one said a brewery restaurant...Id also like to see a Disney theme'd restaurant for the times when we just visit DTD and cannot go tothe parks. Might be coming in Disney Springs....I havent read to much on this yet. Im still not a fan of a bowling alley there I think they could have put something differnt. DQ needs some TLC too, the tickets are to expensive for the attraction you pay for. Ive alos never seen the blimp in action either, so I dont know if that even works. I second the parking aswell.

I'd love to see just a store for foreign items. From places more than what's located in Epcot. They could sell Candy, Tshirts, Toys etc. I'd surly go there!

Edit: I also want my McD's back. NO, I am not a fat bum whom loves McDonalds. It's just that the Food is different and I use to think it was really cool! Having those Happy meals move on the ceiling, looking at the strange lights, its was a great place to site down, buy a plain ice-cream and rest. I'm not a fan of Hamburgers (anywhere) so usually I get those 'healthier' grilled chicken snack wraps no sauce. I still I'm clueless of why they took it down.... :D

Oh, and a Korean Samgyeopsal restaurant. Mmm, hanging out by the Grill, cooking some Samgyeopsal! (Pork Belly) :D

-I like the idea of a micro brewery. That would fit right into the DTD style.

-Perhaps maybe a seasonal (or indoor year round) ice skating rink like DL added last winter.

-A Buffalo Bill Wild West show like Disneyland Paris has would be a great draw.

-I think La Nouba really needs some tweaks again. I'd like to see them drop the opening jump ropes and bring back the duo German Wheels. I'd also like to see them bring back the balancing on chairs act but keep the new juggling act as well. It would also be cool if maybe they added a "Tapis Rouge" (which is a fancy Cirque-themed lounge with fancy Hors d'oeuvres and has a live acrobatic performance or two) that the touring tent shows have. Heck, a Cirque themed restaurant would be cool too.

-Of course if I had things my way I'd bring back all the clubs and atmosphere of PI and have the Disney Springs expansion go as planned so the families can be diverted around the more PG-13 activities there.

-Lastly I really don't like the "magical place that revolves around you and your family" tag Disney has been giving it lately. Don't they already have the MK for that type of tag line? Not that I'm saying it shouldn't be family friendly, I'd just rather it keep its family friendly, yet slightly more contemporary adult edge it used to have.

Some adult only type entertainment would be nice. I know PI isn't coming back and that's fine, but can we get some true upscale dining and some clubs/bars.

Even though I don't drink beer I do really like the microbrewery idea.

Perhaps a froyo place like the oens that are all the rage now where you get your own froyo and add your own toppings.

Complete redo of Disney quest

Perhaps a Dave & Busters type place, but a little more family friendly. A place where DH and I can go with DD and have fun.

For food, I'd add a Greek food restaurant. Not fancy like Kouzzina but maybe a quick service eatery of traditional Greek favorites like gyros, moussaka and souvlaki or something. Maybe add a Korean or Indian restaurant, too but Greek is what I'd want first. I would also add maybe another sports bar too so that you don't have to go all the way to the Boardwalk to watch the big games at just the ESPN Club and nothing else.

For shops, that's tough. I do agree with the idea of a bookstore having all the movies, CDs, etc and I can't really think of anything else right now...

Flynn's Arcade update to replace Disney Quest. Include full interactive walk-through of Game Central Station from Wreck it Ralf.

BIG, ESPN Club with multiple floors, lots of glass walls, live and pre-recorded sporting events in various themed rooms for major sports including baseball, football, soccer, hockey, basketball, etc. Move the ESPN store to the first floor and add customizable shirts/jerseys, for sports/teams, batting cages, throwing nets, basketball and soccer goals with turf floors, make it all sports, nothing but sports zone. Second floor bar with 100s of brews to choose from and specialty sports drinks. Serve ball-park fare, hot-dogs, pizza, burgers, chips, nachos.

Havent read any posts but the first and my answer is night clubs! Something like UNI's City Walk (even half the size) would make me happy AND spend more money at WDW. As it is now, my g/f and I leave the parks early sometimes to go shower and change and go to Citywalk because we're in our mid 20s and we like to have some adult fun too.
you would have LOVED PI in it's prime- it was so much fun- truly nothing like it. So glad I had the oppertunity to experience it, but I really don't think it will ever happen again- all good things must end:(. I wish a few resorts would get a night spot, but that won't happen either. I do have faith that Disney Springs will be magnificent :)

I walked around PI in '06 when I was 18 but I was with a group and half of them didn't want to spend money there so I figured I'd just try it again my next visit but it was closed by then.

Hey, does that big Disney store (or others stores at WDW) have a lot of Star Wars merchandise? My 14 YO son is a big SW fan - in fact, he's very worried about what Disney will do with the Star Wars franchise. It just occurred to me that we may find some interesting stuff for him at WDW.

This is 'Merica dagnabit, gotta have WalMart, Subway, at least one of the various "Dollar" stores, 6 pharmacies, 2 takeout/delivery Chinese places, a flea market and at least several gigantic billboards advertising legal services for "auto wrecks", "help in getting your disability benefits", "cheap divorce rates" and "$300 bankruptcy".

I would like a restaurant that serves fresh and (somewhat) healthful food with seasonal ingredients...and as I type this out, I realize I am describing Seasons 52. I guess you can go up the road for that in Orlando. But I would like to see something similar to that, if possible.

One Little Spark...
I was thinking, in browsing the dining options all over WDW, Indian food really gets short shrift (is there any?). Which is a shame, because we would definitely try an Indian restaurant when we're there this fall.

The only Indian I know of on property (and I could be missing something) is at Art of Animation's food court.

And, I had it in August, and it was pretty good!

Of course, Darth's Mall is the best place to go, but it's only temporary. Tatooine Traders (the shop after Star Tours) has the best selection on property for Star Wars merch outside of that.

There is Star Wars merch at World of Disney, as well as a "build your own lightsaber" setup, but I'd just focus on HS for "the droids you are looking for".
