What Words of Wisdom Would You Give Disney "First Timers"?

I forgot a few...
13. Wait until about 5pm to grab your fastpass for Toy Story Mania. There should be plenty left.
14. If you notice the big, gold dome in EPCOT's Future World, be sure to check it out. It contains hours upon hours of family fun!
15. Be sure to be on the lookout for moving trashcans in the MK. Save all of your trash from the day and make one large deposit once you find it.
16. Contrary to what some said about the 3:00 parade...it ACTUALLY begins at 3:08. Don't listen to any of these wise-guys who are purposely trying to mislead you!
17. Once you enter EPCOT, go straight to Imagination. That line gets crazy around 11:00am. They don't offer a fastpass for some reason.
18. Ride the train in Germany.
19. Visit Camp Mickey and Minnie in AK. You can literally spend an entire day there.
20. If you go to Hoop-Dee-Doo Review in the Fort Wilderness Campground, I highly recommend the Lobster.
21. If you choose to dine in the Whispering Canyon Café in the Wilderness Lodge, be sure to ask for ketchup....and a fork.
22. Don't get your hopes up on seeing any princesses. There are never any to be found.
23. Be sure to ride the new Harry Potter ride in Fantasyland.
24. If you want a really good lei...(hehe) go to the Polynesian resort. They'll take good care of you!

Another one you forgot:

AK has been having problems with aggressive non-native vines and bamboo introduced in food shipments. If you encounter any, shove it off the path for everyone's safety.

Sorry to interrupt but can I ask you guys something?! I'm going for the first time in October, 45 sleeps! not that I'm couting or anything though......

and we'll have our 3 year old with us, now I was thinking about while waiting for the parade, my partner has been many many times before and he always goes really early, like most of you seem to do! makes sense, I think I even did it with my mum when we went to paris 10 years ago! but I was wondering whether it'd be a good idea to take something to entertain her with while we wait, I have these little colouring books they have a handle and crayons in the back, (went overboard in flight entertainment for her worried the 9 hours would drive me mad! haha) do you think it would be worth taking one with us, or just a daft idea? haha

thanks.

Not a daft idea in the slightest. The In flight entertainment from the UK seems to have got better recently(on VA anyway)

My one tip for all would be to take a small notebook and use some downtime at the end of the day to write in it everything you have done that day.We were looking back on ours just this past week (we went in May this year ) and found ourselves saying "Did we really do all that " ?

VA, Virgin? if so we are flying with them, and I think she'll be fine flying out, I bought a load of those little colouring books i mentioned from the £1 shop, but then saw some bigger ones on offer and bought her them too, haha, all disney! even bought myself one, I've gone overboard on stuff really, my partners got loads of disney jr programs on a memory card, I've got loads of games on my phone, mini jigsaws, planning on bringing things out one at a time, so it's always something new to keep her occupied! we're flying out midday, coming back we get home early morning, thats the one i'm concerned about ! haha, but yeah, when I was thinking about what we had entertainment wise, they're small and light enough to stick in our bag while wandering round, also thought if we sit down for food, we always take colouring if we eat out at home, and we'll be taking a pram, so while we wait we could sit her in there and she can do some colouring if she gets fed up, I mean she might be happy just sat looking around, but she's never been anywhere like it so I'm not sure how she'll react.

Am sure it's going to be a Magical holiday.and yes VA =Virgin. I would also recomend doing the downtown Disney checkin (even if you have to pay extra) as if your flight leaves late in the day you can get a last morning in at the park .
