What will be under the hat...

I have confirmation from Disney that what will be under the hat is a shop. It's going to feature pins.

Actually, the gift shop is one thing I do know about Mission Space. It will be in the front left corner of the pavilion. I haven't bothered to post it because I didn't think that was the kind of information people were looking for on it.

There is more than a pin/gift shop under the hat. There will also be interactive video kiosks as part of the 100 years celebration, which will give guests information on Disney heritage and history. There will also be video kiosks in the other 3 parks.

Yes, I had heard the same thing originally but I've seen the building under the hat and from the outside anyway, it doesn't look all that big. I think it's going to end up being like Millennium central at Epcot. If the interactive screen thing is to actually appear at all, I don't think it's going to be anything terribly special. I just don't see where there is room for a retail location and more than a few of these terminals. I guess only time will tell on that, though.

They are installing the video kiosks. That doesn't mean they are going to be inside the small building. As mentioned, they won't be a 'huge deal' but they will most certainly be there.

What I meant by the big deal comment was that , It doesn't seem like there will be very many of them unless they are mounted on their own freestanding little structures and it seems strange that they would only have like five or six of them when they are going to be at the centerpiece of the park that is the center of the celebration. Not saying it isn't going to happen, Disney has done things that don't make a lot of sense before (JIYI)....
