What WDW artifact would you donate to the Smithsonian?

I read that TWDC was donating a Dumbo car and a Mad Tea Party from Disneyland to the Smithsonian, which got me to thinking, "one day, they'll donate something from WDW." So I pose you all the question: What one thing from WDW's history should be donated to the Smithsonian? Which piece of WDW best symbolizes its impact on American pop culture?

I think they should donate the simplest thing: a Mickey Mouse costume.

Okay, the floor is open for discussion.

I love it there, the frist time I went my favorte was the dress of the former first ladies!!

The model of Walt's vision of EPCOT that you see on the TTA

Nice idea!! That would be great, they have nothing like epcot in Disney land so it would be the best addistion.

What about any plainning blue prints of the castle or even a peace of the castle it self!! What about a couple of the golden figures on the castle after the celebration is over and they take them down.

Thats exactly what I thought before I opened this thread! I thought it would be kinda neat to donate like of the really early ones! Although I didnt know how it would affect small kids....

I went to DC like 2 weeks ago, and it was kinda neat to see the little display they had. It was small, but I'm not whining or anything since it gave me a small dose of Disney! I'll take anything!

A Dumbo or a Tea Cup from Disneyland.

When I think of Disneyland those are the two things of which I think.

Yeah, thats exactly what they have on display at Smithsonian right now, along with a few old attraction posters of the two rides. It made me wonder....hmmmm.... maybe I've sat in them before!!! :animwink:

Okay, nothing from the carousel of progress, as that means they may have to close it (that's me using logic), BUT if worse comes to worse, move the CoP to the Smithsonian and have it as a ride there :)

But I think it needs to be something unique about WDW, that classifies it differently from DL. I was thinking a ride vehicle from SE, but it really doesn't show "Disney". It has to be something from the past, (nothing new like a car from Test Track). I don't see Disney taking anything from the past, although I would pick something from Horizons or J into I (original).

Does WDW having the same monorails as DL? If not, let's donate the cab of a monorail! It truly is a part of Disney history!!!

BTW, is there a Walt & Mickey statue in DL? (I've never been, I've only been to WDW)

A Triangle from SE.
That's a good idea or maybe they could take a little thing from each park like a triangle from SSE, a part of the Main St Train/trainstation or something from one of the building on Main St, a branch from the tree of life, and something from the GMR for MGM. It's hard to represent all the parks in one item though. I like the Mickey Mouse costume idea but that's not exclusive to WDW.
