I've seen some bumps the last few days and got to thinking about my first post on wdwmagic.com. Here it is:

We stay there every time. All of the giant pop culture things make it sooo much fun. We were there over 4th of July and from our balcony we could see 4 different fireworks displays. I think it has the largest TVs of all the All Stars (if that's your bag).

So, folks what was your first time like? Track it down and put it up here/ Feel free to let us know the context of the thread it was in....or not (could be funnier)!

From way back in 2004:

I'm going to be down there from August 22-29 2004. But if it's not ready then, I may use the free airline tickets I got off of a five hour JetBlue delay and my AP to go down in January so I can see it.:animwink:

I've been a member here since 2002 but can't find anything further back than 2007.

In 2007 I posted about Alfredo's, the EPCOT restaurant, closing. My dd's high school cheer team was competing at WDW and some of the moms "abandoned" our children in order to eat a real meal instead of another food court meal... that child is now a nursery school teacher, grad student and cheer leading coach.

Lol, this is the first one I found. I don't know that it is the actual first. Interesting thread! ....

"I like chocolate and caramel. Like grapes, too. But the combination doesn't sound appealing.

Have to try one to be sure!"

To be serious this was either my first or second, and was the first thread I've ever started (out of the two or three that I actually have).

Hi, I'm new to these forums (but have been reading them for over a year) and I'm having toubles with uploading my avatar. I know how to get to the place where you upload them. When I click the browse button I select my image but it never stops loading. I waited around 30 minutes and finally decided to ask. Is this normal, am I missing something, or what?

Sorry if this question is answered somewhere else or if this isn't the right place to ask.

Thanks.

EDIT: Logged out and logged back in and it worked. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I was so stupid! I also just noticed a typo...

On a thread about driving to Disney from Conneticut...

"And I thought that the 950 miles and 16 hours to Maryland was bad...

I would say fly. You'll end up paying a lot in gas and a hotel room, and flying gets you there to start enjoying the fun right away. If they're anything like me and my brother were, they don't want to wait to enjoy the magic.

If you do decide to drive it, get them a portable DVD player and bring a ton of movies. Nothing like movies passes the time. Also remember to bring plenty of snacks."

I've always been more of the advice-giver than the advice-taker. But given that I've been more times than many on this forum...

The reason this sounds recent is because it was from October. I haven't been a member that long, though apparently I'm well-known, according to my profile, that is. But it meant my first post was not difficult to find. ;)

I just realized we joined on the same day! Although I surpass your comments. What can I say? I love this place!:D Actually, I saw people with over 1,000 comments within a year when I first joined and wondered how that was possible.

Since the search function no longer has an option to view the oldest posts first, this was a bit of a chore.
I don't think this was my first, but it was in the first two months, July of '02...
I don't think jipped is what happened. They are two different projects, to serve different purposes. Dino-Rama was sort of a last minuite add-on to try to get people to stay in the park longer, at least until the next full expansion. Flick's is a fully Imagineered land, designed to give the little ones more to do, in a park that was lacking in that regard.
When they do add a comperable expansion to AK it will easily surpass Flick's. I hope.

I hate "ME" people. I have put up with people:

Cutting in lines
Shoving in lines
Holding a place in line for 500 people in lines
Running over my ankles with strollers
Cursing within earshot of my kids
Smoking where they are not supposed to (and I used to be a smoker!!)
Teens (or TWEENS) making out
Cell phones on rides or shows
cameras flashing throughout dark rides

and I have no intention of putting up with it any more. I have stopped for a while now. I used to be very easy going but some people just like to take advantage of others. They think that they are more important than anyone else.

I think I had just gotten back from a trip and was still fuming over some incidents at the parks. That was a bad trip that year. Far too many negative things happened. No matter how much you try to ignore them they seem to wear down your nerves after a while.

My first post was published in July 2012 and dealt with Disney Cruise Line CMs doing drugs.

Obviously this didn't go down too well despite the evidence and I kept getting attacking and a larger fight between members broke out leading to my first ever post and thread being deleted shortly thereafter. I didn't venture back here for quite some time after that lol

Ha ha, that's cool. It took me a while to become active. I've only been active since the end of December 2012, even though I had the account. Just took me a while...

My first post was a question asking where to buy old style mickey ears, the ones on an Alice band, not the hat versions!

My first post didn't go well as I was a novice and typed it all in capitals! One person replied " I can't answer your question but my ears now hurt" I didn't understand and was really annoyed at the sarcasm! Not a good start!

I just looked back at the date and realized I was still in WDW when I joined. Good reason that I wasn't active right away! I probably forgot that I even had the account for a while.
