What was the relationship like between (cousins) Roy Disney Jr. and Diane Disney?

Just wondering, they would have been 1st cousins. Both have since passed in the last few years sadly but their fathers are the ones that made WDW happen. That being said, Ron Miller (Diane's husband) was pushed out as CEO and replaced by Michael Eisner in 1984 and it was a move where Roy Jr. helped get Michael in there. Was there animosity between the families after this? They all lived long after this happened, in fact Ron is still alive. Lillian even lived until 1997 as well.

Does anyone know if it tore the family apart? Or was it considered to be just for the good of the company and no hard feelings?

There was always animosity between Roy and Ron, even before the push to have him removed. They each had different visions and views on how Disney should be run and moved forward. Neither one liked or respected the other. Eisners move in really inflamed the anger between them. Ron had made some missteps but he thought he could turn Disney around and Eisners move in wasnt necessary. Diane and Ron moved on to keep Walts memory alive and insure his reputation and lifes work would be promoted with the Disney Family Museum and they also used their wealth and influence to help many charities. As far as Ron, Diane, and Roy... they all had family fortunes and lifestyles of their own and didnt have any use for the other.

That's a shame, that last line. Plenty of wealth, fathers that created an empire and it just shows you that even then family can't get along all of the time.
