What Type Of Fan Are You?

I'm a number 3, for sure, but I don't look down on other parks...I just don't go to them. It boggles my mind when people question why I keep going back. "Didn't you see it all already?" Well, yes, but I will see it again. And again.

Well I am not a coaster person and we do travel to other places as well so I guess I am a Disney Fan. We go once a year (tho have been two times in a year), and I look forward to our trip all year long. It disturbs me when someone 'talks' about the parks, and they've never even been so really don't know what it's all about.

Definitely a mixture of All 3 I do love theme [arks in general but none of them even remotely compare to the epxerience of WDW!

I feel like I'm a good mixture of the three. When I was younger, I was totally a theme park enthusiast...I didn't care where we were, just that I would be going on thrill rides. Once I had a daughter, I started to shift towards the middle...and now, since she's getting older and can ride/appreciate everything, I'd say we're both shifting towards Extreme. As far as vacations/parks go, we only talk about Disney, at random points we'll ask each other "If you could be at any park on any ride right now, where would you be?" as well as watching youtube videos for attractions and other things.

Probably consider myself more of a Traditional Fan. I do see myself stepping over into the Extreme fan role at times, but I wouldn't be so negative on those non-Disney people. Even though I'd refer them to a good therapist to figure out why they are so delusional.:D

Traditional, except this part of Extreme Fan also applies:
"If you encounter someone with a negative opinion of Disney, you assume it is because they planned improperly, had a bad outlook, or did something themselves to not enjoy the place."

What type of WDW fan are you? There are many types, from casual to extreme. From observation all my life, I've divided them into 3 different categories:

The Theme Park/Coaster Enthusiast
You just love it all. From riding the tallest & fastest white-knuckle thrill ride to the slowest indoor dark ride...you just love anything theme park/amusement park/coaster related. Disney, Universal, Busch, Six Flags...you visit as many parks as often as you can. Your passion ranges from riding Cedar Point's Millennium Force as many times in a row, to knowing every lyric in every language of IASW. You're likely to attend coaster conventions & gatherings (A.C.E.). You like to check out any new attraction soon after it is unveiled. It's hard for you to pick a favorite destination or ride, as there are so many in so many genre's that stand out in your mind. From tame to wild, parks are just your thing.

The Traditional Disney Fan
I think most of us here will fall under this category.
While you know Disney isn't perfect, and there are good things about other park companies & locations, Disney has always been your favorite. You have many fond memories of Disney, and always feel at home when driving through the WDW gates. You don't know why, but a Disney vacation always feels right for you. While you respect that others like other places & parks, it is very hard for anywhere else to bring you the joy & magic the way a trip to WDW does. You feel like dancing when you arrive, you feel like crying when it's time to leave; Disney is your happy place...and that's all that matters.

The Extreme Disney Fan (a.k.a. Pixie Duster)
You love Disney for all the reasons a Traditional Disney Fan does, but the difference is, you find it hard imagining why someone would want to go somewhere other than a Disney destination. If a peer or family member does not appreciate Disney as much as you do, you get offended on the inside. If you encounter someone with a negative opinion of Disney, you assume it is because they planned improperly, had a bad outlook, or did something themselves to not enjoy the place. It is very difficult for you to accept that it just may not be for everyone. You are quick to think badly of other park's creations (WWOHP), and see them as 2nd rate despite how spectacular they may be. Disney is your happy place...and it should be everybody else's.

So which one best describes you & why? (Be honest. This is just for fun).

I'm right in between Traditional and Extreme...loved the descriptions too. Awesome!

I guess I fall into the traditional category. I love Disney - it's my most favorite place! But, like someone else said, I wasn't there in the glory days. I love it how it is now. While Disney is my favorite place, give me a ticket to Hawaii anytime and I'll go!

Traditional for me. I try to make a trip every 2 years, however i do visit several WDW web pages daily to keep up with whats going on at the parks.
