What To Do When Your Travel Partner Backs Out!?

Hey Guys!
Here is my dilemma...My 50th Birthday trip was to be 2017. My travel partner uses he tax money to pay for her trip. To make a long story short, she had to cancel, which made me upset. But we quickly planned for May 2019...so I will celebrate my 51st Birthday instead! She is now saying that she might not have the money if the Trump taxes mess things up(not getting political). I don't know how things will go when she files her tax returns, I feel like she is setting things up so if she doesn't have her money, its kinda like I told you so. Therefore we cannot make any type of reservations. I have the trip down to $700 per person(includes everything except spending). What do I do if the time comes and they cancel on me with only a month to reserve FP+, hotel and rental car?
My initial thought is that the price is so low that over the next 11 months you would think anyone would be able to save that, no matter their finances! Please give me your advice!

I agree with y'all. We will cross that bridge when we come to it! Neighbor has problems with restless legs, so I am going to get her to think about it long and hard about going for sure because we all know it is a lot of walking!

So no really new developments...just figuring out a few things. If all 3 of us go, we will share the Roll Away! Obviously if only the neighbor goes, she gets the bed! But this too is being tweaked...stay tuned!

$700 isn’t a lot. Most people know that Disney can be expensive, so keep reinforcing that you can do Disney on a budget. As an incentive, I would offer to pay for the room and they give you money towards gas and they be responsible for purchasing their own ticket on Undercover Tourist or something of that nature. I just went for the first time at 30 with my 3 kids. I needed another adult to go with me to help me with the youngest and I paid for the room and my family’s tix. My cousin left her husband and teenage son behind because they didn’t want to go and we enjoyed Disney for the first time alongside my kids. She paid her own 2day ticket and chipped in gas and food. She was a big help and she really enjoyed herself. Now we are planning another trip for April 2019! I believe that by me paying for the room it lessened her burden but also helped me a lot in many ways, some of them truly invaluable.

Thanks for the idea, I will look at how it works out for the budget doing it your way!
EDIT: Looked at my budget and I am going to cover Hotel and Rental Car(Maybe)

NewDizKid gave me an idea! I will pay the Hotel to make it more affordable and inticing to the travel partner. They pay for their tickets and Rental Car! IF 3rd(neighbor) goes, then I will pay Hotel and 1/2 of Rental Car. IF ONLY the neighbor goes I will pay for Hotel AND Rental Car! Sound a little desparate?

EDIT: Here is my final offer: IF the friend can get me $500 by December 31, I will pay Hotel and Rental Car! If not, they pay $710!(Tix and Rental Car)
