I need help. My fiance left yesterday to go to Panama City Beach in Florida for 8 days. He went with about 10 of his guy friends. This is the first time that I've ever been away from him for more than about 2 days. We promised that we'd only talk like once a day so that he wasn't spending his whole vacation on the phone with me, so I'm kinda going through withdrawl.

I know it's only the first day, but I'm already struggling to find things to do. Do any of you have any suggestions of things to do to make the time pass by any quicker? Anything Disney related seems to take my mind off of it. I've been on here all day long and have started to plan my next WDW vacation in *intricate* detail, and that's working okay for now, but I'm afraid that by the end of the week I'll have gone crazy.

Any fun Disney suggestions?? I'm desperate here! I know I sound pitiful, but come on! Get creative. I'll take anything you throw at me!

Thanks A Lot guys!

I´m assuming school is over for now.... so let´s see...
- redecorate your room/apartment
- go shopping
- reorganize and clean kitchen cabinets and fridge
- clean the house
- reorganize closets
- apply some beauty products on your hair/face, wax legs, all the stuff that should be done in private! :D

Take advantage of that time and don´t feel miserable about it! :animwink: Good luck! :)

Thanks Maria!

I just called and made appointments to get my nails done and get my hair cut. I figure I can indulge a little. I just hope that tonight I'll be okay not hearing from him before I go to sleep. :( I guess I'll put on my vacation planning video and fall asleep to all that is Disney.

Any other ideas anyone?? (I'm waiting on BigNorm to tell me to go have a Beer! :p )

Hahaha  I can tell him, "See what happens when you go away!?" Then he'll either leave all the time, or never go again! Oh well, next vacation is OURS to Disney, and then the honeymoon. I'm excited.

Grizzly, do you know where I can find a good avitar for my little sister? Her name on here is "Big Al's Gal" but she's never on b/c since I've been home from school, I use the computer. I told her I'd find her a good Big Al avitar for monopolizing the computer so much. Can you help me? :D

Grizzly, I tried to IM you but right when I went to send the post, you signed off. I guess I'll try again later. I'll be on here a-l-l-d-a-y-l-o-n-g (well, except for my nails appointment :animwink:). I guess I'll try again later! :D

If there is a Disney Store near by go. There is a big sale Plush 50% off you could buy a new Mickey..... All summer fun stuff is 50%.... Buy the newest version of Birnbaum's and really plan that trip. I hate it when my husband is away or on a job with his band. It gets pretty boring, that's why I got a second job at the Disney Store!!!:)

I literally live on top of a mountain, and our nearest Disney Store (and mall) is over an hour away. (Small Town... only 6 stop lights...) I have the new Birbaums and *I think* every version of this years vacation planning videos. I'd LOVE to have a job at the Disney Store! I may look into doing that when I go back to school in the fall. :sohappy: Do you get paid pretty good? Good discounts and such?

I work anywhere from 4-20 hours a week!! I make $6.76 an hour, 20% off of merchandise in the store and in the parks and the best perk of all..... I flash my CM ID and walk right into the parks!! I also get 50% off of the hotels. It's the only way that we can afford to go as often as we do. I love it!! Although tonight I am working and this will be the fourth night in a row plus my day job so I am losing a little bit of my MAGIC!!! It definately puts me in a great mood and everyone who walks in loves Disney so what better place to talk about DISNEY!!!! The way I look at it, I get paid to play!!:sohappy: :sohappy:

Well there are tons...

Lets see...

http://welcome.to/forgotten.disney

www.digital-disney.com

http://www.disneypix.com/index.htm

http://www.imagineering.org/

Those are some of my personal favorites.

If you just type walt disney world in your search engine you'll find ALOT of cool sites too. Thats the way I do it when I'm bored. :)

Thanks for the sites DisJosh! I'll have happy surfing late at night now when I can't get to sleep.

Thanks for the suggestions again Maria. I felt better after I got out.

Grizzly, I just let my sister see the new avitar you made her and she really did love it and she thanks you for making it. :D

Whoa! I wish! That would be the perfect icing on the cake. HE can go to Panama Beach and have fun, and I can go to DISNEY and have MY fun. :p I may not be able to physically go there, but believe me, being on here so much, I am there mentally and LOVING IT! Thanks :D

The thing that always works for me is a good movie or a good book. I always have a movie in my DVD and a book in my satchel... Perhaps a quick visit to the bookstore and video/DVD place? :animwink:

I find working in my garden makes the time pass quickly, and if you're doing a lot of digging, it's great exercise...you finish up dirty and tired! When my husband was deployed for 6 months, I redid the whole backyard. (I also wrote to him everyday...this was pre email and IM...even though I knew he would only get mail every 2 weeks, at best.) I also did the same when my daughter went away to camp, and then on summer trips. I suspect I'll do the same when she leaves for college. (in 10 weeks!)

I also find that needlework passes the time...wish I had time to do some! ;)
