What to do? Convince me to go please :)

Ok I know it's not going to be hard from everyone on here, but I need some convincing. My DH and I are trying to have another baby(we have a 3 year old now), but I also want to plan another trip this year. I am looking at October to go, because we love that time of year at Disney. My trouble is that I may be pregnant in October if we decide to go. Now I have read other threads that people still go when pregnant and have a blast. I am sure I will be the same way- I mean it's Disney- how can you not have a blast.
So I need some convincing on if I should go this October(possibly pregnant)!!!
My DH said we should wait until next October, so I could enjoy all the rides, but I can't wait- that is tooooo long to be away from Disney.
For those that have been while pregnant- how was it? Was it hard to deal with all the walking?

My wife kinda felt the same way but she wanted to go anyway. There were a lot of things she did not do but she still enjoyed it. She just loves the ambiance of the park itself, sometimes more than the attractions. Don't forget you are not going to the park just for yourself but your daughter too. There will still be lots for you to do but you will also probably be able to see more shows and the like probably more than you have in the past.

I think you would have more fun maybe pregnant than with a little one. You can still have fun devote your time to the 3 of you without all the things that take your time away with an infant.

My sister was pregnant the last time she went and she still had a great time. Actually, it's made her more excited (if possible) for her next trip so that she can ride stuff she wasn't able to the last time.

My cousin was the same. She could not wait to go to disney then sulked because she could not go on the rides.

:cry::(..:lol:

I would say wait if i were you, personally. I know it will be hard (The wait is killing me!!!) but it will all be worth it when your in the park with a new born.:animwink:

However, please don't end up being one of those people who have an infant in the park on a day that's over 100 degrees or at extra magic hours at 2 AM. I've never understood that!

I might just be uninformed, but I had no idea this was possible. Was the baby born ok? Because if anything the drop should deem that ride not for pregnant people IMO, but I'm not a doctor.

Well, everyone has to make their own choice on this. You do what you feel is right for your own body and your unborn baby. And of course Disney has to put up warnings (the lawyers make sure of that).

But really, there's nothing wrong with going on Splash Moutain pregnant! (My husband's a doctor!) Goofy's Barnstormer (the kiddie coaster) is worse!

I was 6-7 mos pregnant when we went before my daughter was born. I had a great time. The weather should be nice in October (we went in December) so you won't be super hot & pregnant. We took things a little slower, my son was three too, so we weren't doing the big thrill rides anyway. I say go, things will be different the next time because you will be going with a baby (we took DD at 9 mos and she loved it!).

As far as the walking...I was fine down there. When we got back I suffered from doing too much there. So take it easy, even if you feel fine.

My sister went with us in December of 2006, and she was about 5 months along. She is not a thrill ride person so that was not an issue for us....she did ride some of the more "tame" rides, such as Peter Pan, IASM, etc. and was just fine. The only issue she had that I can remember was she got tired quicker. We would just find a show to go to so she could sit and rest or go eat. btw, her daughter, Alexis was born the following May and weighed 9lbs 15 ozs!!!!!!!!! She's going back with us again this December to take "lexie" for her "2nd" trip.....can't wait....as she LOVES Cinderella and MICK MOUSE as she calls him.......:)

Thank you everyone for the comments back. I haven't logged on in a couple of days- and for some reason wasn't receiving emails when your comments were posted. I thought I wasn't getting any love from my fellow disney lovers- but I was wrong :p
My DH and I have been talking about it every night this week and if I were to book it would be 10/16-10/23, so my 180 mark is right around the corner. I have already made a preliminary schedule and allowed for some rest days- so I think I may have my mind made up, just don't know it yet :)
I would be OK with not going on the thrill rides (my 3 year old couldn't go on them anyway)- I was more worried about all the walking. But I think with plenty of rest times and going slow, I should be OK.

With my sister, we just paced ourselves with her and when she felt tired, we found somewhere for her to rest. Since it was December, it was not hot at all, and there are several outdoor eating places and park benches all around that provide shade as well. Not to mention, people watching! lol.....With that said, only you know when you are overdoing it...just pace yourself and enjoy the ambience........:)
