Nighttime really does seen to have that effect! We went to Vegas a few years ago and it was AWESOME at night!!

I think just being out, when you know normally you'd be at home watching trash TV or doing homework or something, brings out that "EEEEEK IM ON VACATION" in us all! LOL
Glad I don't pay the electric bill at Vegas. When I was there ( weekend only ) I was gobsmacked at night especially watching the water show at the Bellagio hotel. We stayed at New York.New York. And it took me 30 mins to find my room one night,up & down elevators until I found the right one.:(

If you ever return...fly in at night. GORGEOUS! And if you loved the fountains at Bellagio, you'd probably love a fountain facing room there. I remember our first stay there...got bumped up for free to one and it was awesome. Paris also has some nice fountain facing rooms...or if you're lucky like my parents...you'll get a free upgrade to a fountain facing suite! We used to go once every year until 2008 when we decided to take a break. We'll be returning in July :) Oh...and if you want a mega "where is my hotel room" challenge...stay at Caesar's. I was all sorts of lost after a few hours of drinks while playing blackjack and video poker. :p

As for OP's ?- if I have to pick an actual time of day, it's usually at our first TS dinner. At this point we've had at least a partial day of Disney fun and it's the first time where I'm sitting, relaxing, enjoying a meal and having that- ahhhhh, I'm finally here moment. EDIT- although whatever time I just see the castle kind of says it all to me. Still...the dining moment being one of relaxation lets thing gel.

There are so many of those "this is my Disney moment" for me actually, but that first moment where I look down Main Street USA and see the castle (and usually get a little choked up) is my major moment! Never gets old!
