What Time of day for BBB?

Hello all,
We are planning a trip in mid August for DD and I. This trip is mostly about Princesses for us. The BBB is going to be a highlite! Anyway, getting ready to make ADR's and was just thinking. What time of day is best for the BBB? you spend alot of time in the castle and I thought it would be best to do this when the rest of the park is mostly crowded and lines too long. For instance, I think it would be a waste to do it first thing in the morning when the lines are short only to come out and hit the long attraction lines. I am thinking around noon would be a good time but just wondering on what other input might suggest...
Much TIA

We got our ressie 1 hour before park opening. That way we are back at the castle when they park opens. I can get there anyway, but at least this way is not as snarky to do it.

We've done a 10am and the 8am (pre-park opening). While the 10am was ideal for hitting CRT for lunch afterwards, we much preferred the pre-park opening 8am. Here's why...

1. The 8am pre-park opening "should" get you out in time just before park opening- so you don't miss any park time.
2. More time for the princess to be dressed up...i.e. the little girl who does it at 5pm gets less dressed up princess time that the little girl who does it at 8am.
3. While my friend who did the 8am didn't have this happen, when we did it- the CMs did a little opening ceremony for that first round of girls. They all had to do a special knock on the door, say the magic words and help open the boutique.
4. We may have just been lucky, but when we did the 8am the "actual" Fairy Godmother came through just before park opening to check on the work that all of the fairy godmothers in training had done for the little princesses. My avatar is one of the pics snapped during this experience.
5. It's another way to get the MK pre-park opening experience.

Now, CRT adds an interesting dynamic. If you don't do a pre-park opening ADR, you are likely going to see a ton of little girls in there in full princess gear who just came from BBB. On the flip side, if you save CRT for a different day and do the 8:05a at CRT, you will see next to nobody who has done BBB. i.e. since it's kind of hard to do both a pre-park opening BBB & CRT since there's time overlap = conflicting ADRs. We did the 8:05a ADR at CRT back in Nov and we only saw 1 girl in there with BBB hair in a princess dress...i.e. she'd gone the night before any they saved her hair overnight. It's just funny since it's the only meal we've ever done at CRT where it wasn't filled with tons of BBB hair and princess attire.

Humm, good points. We are planning two days MK. I wonder if we shoud do the BBB on day one and CRT on the next day? Last time we did BBB around 2pm or so and it was a madhouse. Hard to get good attention and it was packed sholder to sholder.

Also, on a side note do you tip the fairy godmother? I gave her $20 last time, but I'm not sure if it's expected...

It was also a madhouse when we went at 10am, but it was so relaxing when we did the 8am.

As for tipping, I'm surprised they took the $. The fairy godmothers that do all the work in BBB are not permitted to accept tips. I knew this going in the first time, but DH tried to tip anyways and they refused his $ for this reason.

We have an 8 am BBB appt when we are going unfortunately its in DTD and not at the castle. I made the appt as soon as we book but there were no appt at the castle for the day we wanted. Our plan is to have myself and DD at DTD BBB at 8 and have DH in MK that morning to get any fastpass that we might want since that will be our second day there. Hoping it works out well, we'll see.

We had an 8:15 yesterday morning. Checked in at 8 and my daughter was in the chair a minute later. We were out by 8:30!! We spent about 30 minutes walking a nearly empty Main Street getting some great, unique pictures!! I definitely recommend the earliest appt you can get!!!!

Okay we did CRT for our daughter's first trip so we want to do Akerhuse this trip. We are going to try to book early am breakfast on the morning of her birthday. I want to do BBB that morning as well so she can be dressed up for her day at MK. Probably not a good idea to book both in the same day, huh?
