What size stroller can we take on the bus with us. We currently have a greco stroller with large wheels. Where do we put it on the bus or boat.

Ive seen all sizes of strollers on the busses. Anything goes as long as you can fold it up. You just keep it with you sitting or standing.

I would take a foldable umbrella style like a Maclaren if you have one. They are very light and can be toted with a strap.

Go with the stroller that makes you the most comfortable. If you're used to using a large stroller- you'll be the most comfortable touring WDW with that one.

As for buses, boats and monorails...you have to fold it up on the bus. I usually take our kids and DH takes the stroller to streamline this process. The larger boats will usually just let you wheel on the stroller, but we did have to fold ours once when the crowds were a bit heavy. I always fold it on the smaller boats. As for the monorail...you can usually just roll it on, but if things are really crowded, you'll also want to fold it there as well.

Leave your stroller at home and make the children walk. When they get tired you go back to your room for a nap.

That's what was done when strollers were not considered a fashion accessory.

Think of all the room we would have if EVERYONE did this!

The amount of ignorance in this reply is quite amazing.

Spoken like a true fat kid enabler

Again...ignorance on display. You just don't understand that strollers are more than a fashion accessory. Our kids are quite healthy and as a professional firefighter I would have to say our whole family's dietary and excercise habits are higher than average. If folks want to bring a stroller...let them.

So your basing my ignorance on the fashion accessory statement and ignoring the other points?

We've brought our BIG travel system stroller with one time and it was fine. Definitely tough to handle a lot of the time. Next time we brought an umbrella stroller with and the hot Florida sun heated the pavement so much that by day 3, the rubbery part of the wheel actually expanded and fell off and we had to throw the stroller away. We then settled on a mid size one from Babies R Us. It was the Baby Trend TrendSport Stroller. Had the bottom basket, folded down for a nap, a removable tray and the drink holder for us.

It was the best one by far. It lasted both kids and multiple trips to WDW and everywhere else. It became our primary stroller everywhere.

I bring this all up because while the umbrella strollers do fold up nice, they lack quite a few really nice things that do enhance the trip.

Any stroller works fine. We have found that an umbrella stroller with a small compartment on the bottom with a hood worked best for us. It folds up smaller for bus rides and gives you a place to put bags at the bottom.

We went with a 2 year old for the first time last fall. Now let me say that I have never been bothered by strollers when we didn't have kids and I still am not. But our Graco was awesome. We stayed in the parks all day and the stroller was crucial for napping in quiet spots so we never had to waste time going back to the room. Of course our child would never nap in a bed so it would be pointless anyways.
I'm happy to say that we hit no ankles and never made a bus wait while we packed it up except once when we didn;t think we'd get on but the 10 people in front of us wanted to wait for some reason and the bus driver was like "Come on up folks." But we got it down and on board in 10 seconds (which is aneternity, I know, when waiting on a bus to take you home).

I say leave the stroller parents alone...unless they are pushing around older kids. After a point it is ridiculous. When I went atthe age of 5 I walked and so will my daughter. When her naps stop so will the stroller use.

Our favorite stroller for the parks has been chicco's version of the umbrella stroller. It folds nicely, has a basket, is very sturdy and the perfect height. Many umbrella strollers seem to be made to be pushed by children instead of with children in them!
