DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Now that Muppets Courtyard is closed, this got me an idea after seeing a few people mention it, what if they replaced Animation Courtyard with the Muppets? Especially since Villains: Unfairly Ever After has similar seating count to Muppet Vision 3D and seeing as Disney wants to preserve Muppet Vision 3D, why not relocate it to there and retheme the rest of Animation Courtyard to the Muppets once Villains land opens at MK while you're at it?

I think that Animation Courtyard AND Rockin is too much space to be the same land. I think that should be two areas:
Muppet land could include RnRC, Sunset Showcase, and whatever backstage space they can spare for dining and maybe a dark ride.
AC could easily be a full, ground up land. Especially if they knock out those offices and the parking garage back there

After Monsters Inc. and Muppets Rock n Rollercoaster, I hope that Animation Courtyard is next on the to-do list. I have a funny feeling that Echo Lake/Indy/Star Tours will be next, though.
I agree, as I feel AC is just such a weird area yet they still show it love like the new LM show while StarTours and Indy I can't remember them helping. My personal want is an Inside Out (or Marvel if they ever get the rights back) land in AC and for StarTours/Indy a Incredibles land I feel would fit well

Launch Bay is just so front and center in Animation Courtyard that Disney has to do something with it. I would love an Omni-mover of some sort in its place. As for Star Tours, while it has received new scenes over the years, I just see it being expendable in the coming years. Especially considering the fact that Smugglers Run will be getting new missions and scenes next year.

Whatever they end up doing in animation courtyard, there needs to be a boat ride. DHS would really benefit from a water attraction. It doesn’t even need to be a massive investment like the Shanghai pirates ride system (although that would be nice), just a nice slow moving boat ride similar to the coco attraction planned for DCA.

If it is Zootopia that ends up coming, I really hope they opt for a boat ride through the different biomes as opposed to a clone of yet another trackless ride.

I’d go so far as to suggest a boat ride in AC and another one replacing Indy.

It could all be one sweeping land with multiple attractions...If the courtyard was the entry point to a whole section of the park based on Disney Animation, much like Toontown, it could be the home of many different IP all within a colorful whimsical 1940s Cartoon town... with a Muppets Studios area anchoring the North End, and a tie-in to Pixar and Toy Story Land on the South end....

Word around the Launch Bay is there's now a completed concept for Animation Courtyard. As in "we could release this to the public."

Not sure what ideas made it in or timeline. But they've settled on a direction.

We thinking D23 Expo? Or are they reserving that announcement for just the next EPCOT ride refurb/refresh?

I feel like the earliest we’d hear anything is Destination D in August, but that seems like a much bigger announcement than they’d typically do in that venue.
The 2026 D23 makes the most sense in my head. They’ll need some major projects to announce (especially if they return to the Honda Center).

I meant Destination D and said Expo in my head haha. But that's kinda where I feel it might be announced. Depending on the nature of what is replacing AC will determine the venue.

Not sure on timeline for this announcement. Is there an upcoming closure that would need to be balanced out? Or maybe it's ready for the HOP re-opening as a distraction.

Not to hijack this thread, but if the next EPCOT ride refurb is Figment, as I've heard, that might excite fans enough to be a D23 announcement.

So you believe the AC news will be well-received?
