what should I do with my Kitty?

Has anyone used the onsite kennels? I have a 4 month old kitty (named Vista ) and I don't think we can leave her with anyone because we are going to be gone for 2 weeks! She is a handful! So we were thinking about putting her in the kennels for the 5 days we are on site and then taking her to the vacation home we got for the rest of the time.

Has anyone ever tried the kennels out? Do you have any tips for us?

The other thing I forgot to mention is that our cats(2) seem to not eat much when we leave for a weekend and then gorge themselves when we get home. They then end up puking so we have a nice welcome home present. Not sure if this is a self preservation technique or just that our cats are neurotic.

I know that you were only joking, but please don't ever try to sneak a pet into a disney hotel. I've stayed at 2 different resorts in the past 2 years that I have seen stay cats in the evening. They seemed to hang out in the same area evey night. The only thing that I can figure, is that someone took them on vacation, and they got out of the room and were never found by the owner. My heart really broke for these animals. I tried to lure them both in with food, but it never worked because they were so spooked.

Now I'm wondering how often disney finds these pets and what do they do with them? Anybody know?

Well this weekend I was talking to my dad and he said I was crazy for taking a cat in the car for the drive and that I could leave her home and my dad would feed her... THEN he started telling me about how he was supposed to watch his brother's puppy when he was 16 but totally forgot for a whole week! The puppy died! Granted my dad is 30 years older and MUCH more responsible, but it scared me!
So we are taking her! We are going to keep her in the kennel for the first 5 days and then keep her at the vacation home we rented for the next 8. We will visit her and play with her everyday and I hope it works out! Maybe she will post a trip report! (oh my god, I have become a cat person, I actully started to think of what I could write through the eyes of Vista.... I am too far gone! :lol: ) Thank you for all your advice!

So it is about 10 to 1 against taking your cat, including your own dad. If you aren't gonna listen to him then not much chance any of our opinions matter either.:lol:

Have a safe trip and take good care of that kitty.
