What Park to Take Girlfriend To?

I think it honestly depends on the girl too, you should know her better than us. I will say to watch a note the maturity factor she goes for. while I find it hard to imagine you can't have fun at magic kingdom that age is also ripe with people trying to show some cultured mature side and scoff at things they perceive as childish to them wether it is or is not in reality. I do remember one date at a rainforest cafe that was near rutgers where I was at the time, I figured it would be kind of fun, something different. well I was right, I think I spent a solid hour and a half hearing about how her 6 year old sister would love it.....

on the flip side with aviation at magic kingdom you get into that whole, I've never seen an elephant fly angle. if she's self conscious over exaggerate so it's impossible for her to think you meant anything else than referring to literally the elephant dumbo.

Newbies must be taken to the MK. To most of them, the park with the castle IS Disney World.

If you take a newbie and they don't get to see the castle, they'll be disappointed.

MK. Epcot is great but especially if she's never been and you really want that "magic spark," MK is the best place to capture it. Plus you said she loves rides and Epcot is decidedly lacking in a lot of them, unlike at MK. Soarin is overrated too, though im that's just my opinion. But I think for a snapshot of what WDW is all about, MK does the best job. Epcot as a first park...eh, I don't know. I know it wouldn't have done it for me the way MK did on my first visit. And seeing Wishes together in front of the castle is pretty romantic.

Magic Kingdom and if you want a great "romantic" spot -don't watch Wishes in the park. Instead, head over to the Polynesian on the monorail, go to the beach, find a hammock and watch the fireworks from there. Trust me on this one...

This is word for word what I was going to say to you.
Someone that has never been before will only think about a park with a castle.
No matter how much they would enjoy Epcot, they would still be thinking that MK might have been even better.

For a first timer, I'd definitely say MK, but you can't go wrong with either.
I have to agree with @PUSH! Quite correct Mk is where the magic began but she seems like an EPCOT kind of gal from your description! I'm an EPCOT gal but love the MK you can't go wrong!!!!! If you go to EPCOT book a special meal in WS!

Go to the TTC and take the ferryboat to the MK. You'll cruise by more than a few pretty resorts and islands and Cindy's Castle will keep getting bigger and bigger and the anticipation will grow. Be sure to head for the top deck of the boat for the best view. Once you're on Main St. USA you and she will be transported by the Disney Magic like we all are. At the end of your day take the monorail out of MK back to the TTC. Be sure that your camera is ready to go and take a zillion pics for memory enhancement later on, and my bet is that you and she will be busy planning your next trip. POOF! Two more Disney nuts.
Most of all, ENJOY!
And oh yeah, get Dole Whip. Always get Dole Whip.

I would do MK with Dinner at Be Our Guest Restaruant. then parade, memories and end it with fireworks. What more would a girl want?

I love the idea of watching the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. That would be very convenient also, since we will be eating at Ohana. After dinner, the rest of the group could head on back to the park or room, while my gf and I stay and watch the fireworks.
