What other countries/Pavilions Should I add to Travel Showcase?

This theme park would be one of my Disney Land Texas Theme parks. Travel Showcase is a 500 acre theme park that has a 80 acre lagoon. The Catch is this park will not have any Cartoon or Movie IPS in it. That lagoon is for having having having Boat Transportation due to how large the park is. I have a total of 23 attractions without counting the boat transportation in the park and Entertainment.

I have enough room to do 3 or 4 countries at least with my considering Poland.

Here are the Pavilions I have so far:
  1. Japan Pavilion
  2. Italy Pavilion
  3. Greece Pavilion
  4. Scandinavian Pavilion - It is the former Norway and Denmark Pavilions combined
  5. Canada Pavilion
  6. Germany Pavilion
  7. Brazil Pavilion
  8. United States Pavilion
  9. Caribbean Pavilion
  10. Russia Pavilion
  11. Egypt Pavilion
  12. China Pavilion
  13. Mexico Pavilion
  14. France Pavilion
  15. UK Pavilion
  16. Australia Pavilion - added to my Microsoft Word document on 1/17
  17. India Pavilion- added to my My Microsoft Word document on 1/17
  18. Iran - added on 1/23
  19. South Africa -added on 1/23
  20. Israel - added on 1/30
  21. Poland - added on 1/31

I wasn't too sure about Australia before my question due to the nature of Australia for my past of thinking Australia is more of an Animal Kingdom type land despite the history of Australia. Your answer helps me out.

My concern with Spain was how many European Countries should Travel Showcase have.

The cultures of the European countries are vastly different, like how France is VERY separate from Greece.

Keep the good work up! :D

I agree that Soarin' over the World would be much cooler than Soarin' over Canada. I always thought Canada was a weird choice for World Showcase anyway, being so similar to the U.S. (besides Quebec.) I love the Rhine River Cruise idea, because I always wish they had actually built it in Epcot!

I also noticed that half of the countries are in Europe (not to mention that Canada, Brazil, United States, Caribbean and Mexico are mostly European-influenced and speak European languages, leaving only three countries that aren't European in culture), and there is nowhere to represent West Asia, Subsaharan Africa, South Asia, Oceania, Central Asia or Southeast Asia, and there are two Scandinavian countries. Denmark and Norway are just too similar. In my opinion, the pavilions should be more spread out around the world, so that there's not as much redundancy. It would be cool to see places like India, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Samoa, Tonga, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Israel, Turkey or Iran.

I did add a couple Countries on Sunday in India and Australia with me waiting to decide to add a couple more countries this weekend.

With your suggestion with Norway and Denmark, I'll be creating a Scandinavian Pavilion. The Pavilion will have the attractions from Norway and Denmark, but I would combine the two bakeries into one.I also would change the eating places and shops.

As far as Nepal goes, I really did consider it last weekend. I went against it because my Disney's Land of Adventure Park is going to have Expedition North Mountain. The first thing I think of Nepal is Everest and I would have copied the Animal Kingdom version of the ride.

However awesome Soarin' Over Canada probably is, why arent you using Soarin' Over the World? I think it would be a great ride to have at the entrance plaza for the park (Maybe along with it's a small world)
I did consider Soarin' over the last week, but I though Canada would need a 2nd ride. What I could is cut down the amount of rides for Canada. I have a land entering Travel Showcase called Traveler's Square. Traveler's Square isn't full developed yet, but does have a dock for boat transportation in the park. Traveler's Square is Plaza for the park.

I updated the countries and Attractions list on 2 of my posts. It is almost as update as my Texas Disneyland Word document for Travel Showcase. It isn't as accurate as my world document due for the park due to me adding more Pavilions this weekend.

I am not doing Thailand in Travel Showcase, but I do have something planned for a couple weeks already for Thailand. Texas Disneyland is going to have a lot of hotels due to the size of the 3 theme parks and Texas Disneyland Village. This is one of the hotels:

The name of it is Disney's Asian Resort. This is based on the exact creation Disney had plans for it as a WDW Hotel. The resort would have featured Thai furnishings and cuisine and other original plans for it.

I hope you don't think Russia is in one country. Russia is in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia.

In terms of Pavilions, I looks I can do 2 more for this weekend.

I have to do more checking into Kenya, Nigeria, Samoa, and Tonga before ruling them out.

Yeah, but I would assume the pavilion would be based on the Europe section. Most ideas seem to be.
Not all the Pavilion is based on the Europe Section based on my plans. For the last couple Days, I am looking at adding a mountain Coaster to Russia Pavilion depending on what I have left after the next 2 countries. I haven't made a decision on the 2 countries yet, but it isn't Europe.

Everyone always forgets about Poland :(
...we have pierogies (and vodka ;))
Not true because I actually didn't forget about Poland. My plan with Poland in Texas Disneyland always been either been in Travel Showcase or be part of Disney's European Resort. For Disney's European resort, my plan is to have a Polish Restaurant at least.

I also couldn't forgot due to how I grew up. One side of the family is Polish. I grew up eating different types of food including Pierogies, Polish sausage , and Paczki as examples.

I grew up having having Paczki's on Fat Tuesday.

My version of Mexico Pavilion isn't as European as you expect. Mexico is known for their Aztec civilization. I have an Aztec Show in the Mexico Pavilion matter of fact.

WARNING: High levels of sarcasm

How about North Korea?? Not as a pavillion, just as a little, mobile "souvenir" kiosk? It could sell little bobble head Kim-jongs and have a photo op with the big man himself!!
