How old were your kids when you stopped using strollers?

If that's true, which I doubt by the way, then I feel really bad for your kids.
Wow. You clearly don't live or drive in a large city. Seems like every other time I drive in my city, someone steps out into a crosswalk without looking, often against the light. I can't just choose to hit them because they don't look both ways and make the best decision. And you're only "driving" a stroller here, not a car, however, you seem to be saying that you will make little effort, in your rush to get wherever you are going, to NOT hit others. As you said earlier in your post, you are selfish. Don't you realize that everyone else in DW is also trying to get somewhere, sometimes late for a FP or dinner reservations, or just over-excited and perhaps not paying attention as they should be? Slow down, there is NO excuse to hit someone. How would you feel if you severely injured a small child by slamming into his/her ankle or leg? Small children often don't look both ways, especially when excited and in large crowds.

Well, you actually do run into them if for some reason you are distracted and they step out and you don't have time to stop. When you are driving in a car in a large city your brain is wired to be looking for just that and besides that your vehicle can easily kill someone. Stroller operators in WDW or DL are not wired to be concerned about people walking since they are walking as well. You will allow yourself to get distracted because Disney does everything in its power to distract you. Everyone that doesn't pay attention to where they step are open to a minor little stroller situation and shouldn't be surprised if it happens. LOOK WHERE YOU ARE! Others are not responsible for your safety, you are. If you don't care enough about your own well being to make sure you keep out of harms way, why should anyone else.

No they can just handle life. Also I dont make them stay in the parks for the entire day. Amazing what a 2 hour break in the middle of the day can do. Also if they get really tired, I can always carry one of them. Truth be told however, I am not one to trudge 2 under 4 year olds around the park, seeing as most people cannot remember stuff they do when they are 2-4, hince the large gap in my visits from early 2000's to more recently.

The only only only time I complain about strollers is when its someone racing to get somewhere and I have to dodge it. I'm a big boy, I don't dodge easily. Rest of the time I take the least popular paths and seem to avoid most of these headaches.
This seems to be a fairly large debate
I just want to say that I would much rather accidently bump into a stroller (whether they bumped me or I was pushed into bumping them), than bump into a tiny, little child. Some kids go crazy and run into everyone/everything and I think a stroller can be a great way to keep such children contained for most of the time
I think the main point, which has been repeated by many people, is that a little courtesy goes a long way so as long as both parties are courteous to one another, all is well, you're in Disney World! Don't let strollers be a nuisance in the happiest place on earth

For those who are so much against strollers, you seem to be saying that people who do use strollers have the attitude of "I have a stroller and I will run over anyone who is anywhere near me!!!" But I'm starting to think those who are against strollers have the attitude of, "I do not have a stroller, and no stroller is allowed to go anywhere near me!!!"

kids and parents are lazy these days... when I was a kid my mom had this small banana stroller, it was an apocalyptic last resort only. In fact, the banana strollers aren't comfortable so it made kids really, really, really need one if they needed one.
today... the strollers are like Bentley's. Why would a kid want to walk?

I didn't read all of the re-hashing of stroller debates on this thread so I'm sorry if this has been said, but one little thing that will make a huge difference is do not wait for the buss to arrive before folding up the stroller. You are waiting for a bus. You know it's coming. Fold the stroller when you get in line. It will save you time and frustration.

I've never been run into by a stroller at WDW. Or, I suppose, if I have been, it wasn't memorable enough to remember. I figure also, I'm going to a place where there are going to be strollers. Other than maybe a big double-wide stopped in the middle of a walkway blocking me, I don't pay much attention to them I guess.
