how is Jungle Cruise outdated?? they might need to change a few sceens in it for better animatronics but other than that it is very minimum. Some of the jokes have gotten old but that's because I've been on it so many times

"and folks here is something you don't see every day... the backside of water. Everybody say oohhhhh...ahhhhhh"

"we like to call this waterfall inspiration falls because it inspires us to go deeper and deeper into the jungle."

"For the life of me I couldn't get that jeep to start in the morning but it looks like those apes got it to turn over for me... I told them to break camp for me but this is ridiculas."

SilentRascal claims:
"1. One flying carpet ride doesn't quite cut it in terms of an Aladdin attraction, so I'd have to say there isn't enough at the MK."

OK...ok...let me try to put this in right terms...There is an Aladdin attraction at the Magic Kingdom. A new one. Right across, there is an area which you wish to put ANOTHER Aladdin attraction. That means 2 big attractions will be totally based on Aladdin...there are other adventure stories. Some characters and films haven't made it to Magic Kingdom before...(i.e. The Jungle Book) and there is much more potential than just Aladdin...Aladdin...Aladdin... If you're an Aladdin fan, then I can see why you would like this, but 2 attractions on the same film in the same land can get kind of lame for those who don't like Aladdin. It's like opening a country bear island in place of TSI right across from Country Bear Jamboree.

Silent Rascal added:
"2. JIYI's new rehab had better have very significant changes done to it."

Yes...it does!! :D

Furtherly, SilentRascal says:
"3. This Beastly Kingdom definitely needs to have several (at least 3-4) major attractions to bring people in."

Beastly Kingdom is a land...just like any other in Animal Kingdom it will have at least 4 attractions in it. And if there is even ONE that is a roller coaster, people will come in!!!

SilentRascal attacks JC by saying "Jungle Cruise is an awful, incredibly outdated ride. It's ridiculous that Disney made it a FastPass attraction. I say, rip it out and put something worthwhile in its place."

No, it's not ridiculous. The queue Jungle Cruise in the afternoon is VERY HOT...and the line is huge...at some points an hour and a half. They used FastPass for what it should be used for...the attractions that attract large numbers of people can have some people wait for less time.

Indiana Jones

For the last 5 years, ive always thought they should tear out Jungle Cruise (borrows NowInc's shield) b/c its pretty bad, and replace it with the Indiana Jones ride (either the DL or the TDS one). I know we have Dinosaur already, but even thats not very good, esp. compaired to Indy.....

I'm not an Aladdin addict, if that's what you're getting at. I just figured after all this time that Aladdin's been out, it would have the potential for a pretty good ride. Instead, we're stuck with that lame Dumbo-wannabe type ride. I do agree that several rides on the same theme would get redundant. But since this newly added ride is just that, new, it won't be going anywhere, I'm sure.

Exactly what type of significant changes do you envision JIYI getting this time around, since you seem sure about it?

No matter whether it's a Fastpass attraction or not, I find that fact to be utterly ridiculous. There is really nothing at all to that ride and I'll never understand what people find appealing about it. The animatronics are among the weakest in all of WDW, the jokes just aren't funny, and overall it's an ordinary little boat ride in a circle. I still feel it's a waste and should be given the 20,000 Leagues treatment.

Re: Indiana Jones

There are many Jungle Cruise fans out there, including myself and several others on this forum. I think an interesting approach would be a Jungle Book tie-in. I would prefer this much over Tarzan or George of the Jungle. I especially like Jungle Cruise because, like the Bears, CoP, Tiki Birds, it is something that is unique and original (and not to mention downright hilarious!) to the parks, unlike any theme coming outside. It showcases the imagination that Imagineering has given us over the years...

To me, there's nothing the least bit imaginative about Jungle Cruise. It's probably the least imaginative ride at MK. Their attempts at humor fall flat and just aren't funny.

Whether you hink the ride is funny or not it's there to stay. Disney woud have to be retarded to remove a ride that brings in such huge crowds. That would be simillar to removing the Haunted Mansion.

I seriously doubt it'll be there much longer. It's not quite as major an attraction as Haunted Mansion, and a major overhaul/removal of JC is long overdue.

I think Carousel of Progress needs to be updated mechanically and redone so it doesnt skip like 40 years. I would like to see the People Mover(TTA) fitted with some more comfortable cars(can you say seat cushions?!)...a new look would be good too. I think they need to lose or update those cheesy indian animatronics you see on the banks of the River of America and when you ride the train around the kingdom...I mean are those even animatronics? And last but not least I think they need to hire a couple of guys to go up inside spaceship earth with jumbo sized cans of WD-40 and lube that sucke rup! :D

They just rehabbed the que area not too long ago...is that a sign that they're removing it?

The Jungle Cruise is made or breaked with the cast members. If you don't get a good cast member which is rare then the ride might be pointless. Yes they could rehab it but only to make it longer (which would never happen because it would cost too much.) A Jungle Book theme would be neat because that movie needs a good attraction after they took away the good show they had at Animal Kingdom, but long live the classics.

If Jungle Cruise goes then we might as well tear out the whole Magic Kingdom and start over. What did Walt's imagination have anything to do with the parks??? (joking)

There already all ready are sort of two Aladdin attractions Tiki Birds under New Managment with Iago.

Tarzan was a great movie that needs a good attraction unlike the Tree House at Dinseyland

Adventureland has turned too "comercialized". When I say that, I mean dealing with the movies and all. When Walt made Disneyland he made all original attractions for all the lands besides Fantasyland - that would be where the movies would come to life. So I would say let's work on more originality in those areas...maybe if we really want Tarzan...Animal Kingdom would be the best bet.

They have Tarzan already and they did an ok job on it. I love the monkeys that rollerblade being a rollerblader myself but other than that I don't think it's that great. The music is good but couldn't I just listen to the soundtrack. Disney can't find anybody to fill Phil Collien's shoes to do a show everyday. A Tarzan tree house was a good idea but have it were the kids actually climb and swing on vines into ballpits and stuff. I know this sounds Mc. Donaldish but with some good themeing you couldn't pull kids away from that playground.
