One Little Spark...
Must be my local one also not a fan of Bahamas breeze.
Now, that place I've had bad experiences at. Not that it was horrid, but just not worth the money. I class it the same as Applebees in my head.

Yea smokey bones was the same way for me to thought the food was average for a middle class restaurant I think Applebee's is a better value but I never eat there. The only resturant that is in that class that I like is mad mex and bravo. Olive Garden use to be good but have not had a good visit in about a year but all these chain place keep getting me to come back lol. Now, that place I've had bad experiences at. I agree with u a lot the other thing is the economy has hit these companies hard. They haves lowered there labor cost by paying less r not as many crew. So the productivity is huge. I am a GM at a major resturant so I know what they r going through. This may sound odd, but the smaller the town, the better these sort of places are. It's not that their menu's or prep are bad, it's that in larger cities the jobs are less coveted. For example, try eating at a Lone Star Steakhouse in a larger city...then drive to a small town and eat at one. The difference is amazing. Same stock, same recipe. It's just that the employees care more.
I can tell that the Apple Bee's around me sucks for service. I am talking about stuff like being short handed in servers, waiting 20 minutes to get a server after being sat down at table and getting orders wrong even if it not busy.Yea smokey bones was the same way for me to thought the food was average for a middle class restaurant I think Applebee's is a better value but I never eat there. I am with the biggest restaurant chain and work for a corporation so can't do much with pay but my work has great room for growth that is how I keep people plus great benefits. It is tough and my chain gets the worst reviews out of everyone. It is tough times for anyone in the food business like at the Olive Garden. Lowering prices and loosing quality to try to get people in.Oh, for who? Darden? And, as a GM, you know as well as I do, they always pay the lowest wages on average. The only reason I was able to keep talent when I was younger was that I would apply to other restaurants and see what I was offered in the area, then offer 25 cents more an hour than they did...it kept the stores I ran from having the "christmas run" where you lose young trained and talented individuals to mall jobs for 3 to 4 months over pennies.
I like this idea, I really thought that Boma's would be great for a character breakfast using the characters from Lion King, Jungle Book, and Tarzan. They could also do a pirates meal at Tortuga Tavern.Any character meal that is geared for boys!!!!
If we were looking at character meals...Star Wars, Muppets, Pixar, Marvel, or pirate would be great.
I had also posted an idea a while back that I'm still a fan of...I'd like a restaurant in Epcot to showcase the diverse cuisine in the US. I'd like rooms and areas dedicated to certain regions or cities in the US and a menu that offers several offerings from some of the regional offerings in the various parts of the US. I'd also like to see comparision platters...like NY vs. Chicago pizza, a BBQ sampler- TX, Carolina, KC, Memphis, and even a seafood platter - i.e. New England vs. Gulf Coast vs. Other iconic areas. There should also be things like southwest vs. Tex Mex, comparison between Cajun and Creole, maybe popular cheeses and sausages from different areas, and so on. The decor would also be a blast...you could dine in NY on or beneath the Brooklyn Bridge...in the middle of the French Quarter...on a cafe in South Beach...etc.
I have one boy that adores princesses and one boy that thinks they have cooties. I need to bribe 9yo to even get a princess autographPrincess meals aren't geared for boys? Hrm...
