Going down on the 12th through the 19th. I think October is one of the lowest rain months during the year, but it looks like its been wet lately, can I expect all day rains or the typical "summer" quick storms when it does rain?

I know! We leave tomorrow and the forecast does not look promising. This will be the 5th time we've traveled in October & I can't remember seeing a forecast with so much rain :(

Unfortunately it happens like this from time to time in October. We always go during October and we have experienced our fair share of rain, but more often than not when it shows a rainy forecast it was usually just cloudy. But with the hurricanes in the gulf and Caribbean throwing up tons of moisture and flinging it outward, you might catch a bit in Orlando. I do hope it stays dry for you. ;)

So far, it doesn't look good. Hopefully, Mother Nature will change her mind, and it'll be great weather :).

When you look at average precipitation for October you see that it starts to really drop off in mid October. I've been in Disney late September for the past few years and it's typical summertime Orlando, so my trip this year is late October and I'm hoping I don't have to worry too much about the typical late afternoon storms.

we went to disney last year during presidents week. it rained like crazy from the time we arrived on saturday, until sunday around noon. then it was like someone turned off the faucet. nothing but sun and mid 80's rest of the week... i'd pay money for that kind of weather on any vacation...:) My daughter loved it.

The rain just gets better and better as you go through October. :)

September is pretty much the same as August. It's is hot, humid and rainy. But October is that glorious month when, at some point, the humidity breaks. It is hot, but NICE outside. The evenings are lovely. And there is a lot less rain.

Normally, anyway. :)

It been nice-ish lately. The nights are cooling off. There is a little less humidity. We go day after day without going over 90 degrees. I can sit outside without having to be in a pool, lol. But a month from now, it will be better.

Winter in Orlando!! Most beautiful! :)

The weather people love the winter. They get to talk about fire. They love that. Just the other day, the weather guy was saying we were having some nice days and soon we'll have a bunch more...but then he started talking about how when it dries off, you have to worry about the fires. It's like they can't WAIT for the fires to show up.

I know it as well as anyone knows the weather where they live...but I also the know the common, oft-repeated internet misinformation about Orlando weather, like it not raining during the rainy season.

Lol, my prediction will be as accurate as any!

Warm, sometimes hot. Cooler evenings, but not chilly/cold. It will rain once, but not for too long, and try to rain another time, but not be very successful, if at all.

Let me know how I did!

We will be there Oct. 6th - 12th and so far it doesn't look good. Rain 30-40% chance. Since most attractions are inside, even if the weather isn't great will my 3,8 &9 yr olds still have fun? Its our first WDW experience and we don't know what to expect.

Thanks!

You'll still have a blast. Keep in mind that it usually doesn't rain for long in Orlando, but it does mean that the crowds will be slightly lighter. You're kids will have a blast. :D
