What keeps you going back to AK?

We usually park hop so what we normally do is go one day in the morning as soon as it opens and ride the safari, yeti, etc... then if we are lucky and there is an evening extramagic hour during our stay we go there then also - and our bunch of kids ride the KS over and over.. and leave drenched but always happy!

Flame Tree BBQ is a great place to eat
DinoWhirl
Festival of Lion King
the show with the dogs/birds..more like pets?

We enjoy the theme! and of course we would never think of skipping anything Disney!

What keeps us coming back to Animal Kingdom?
Lot's of stuff actually!

My wife and I both agree that to us, it could a full day park if we slowed down a little bit more and really took it all in, we just rarely stay there for an entire day. Maybe that's because it takes us only a half hour to get there, we just don't feel the need to stay all day... but we never see it all when we only go for half of a day.

The things we love, and do over and over again:
Everest
Dinosaur
Flights of Wonder
Both of the walking trails
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo the Musical
Tough To Be a Bug
the Safari
Either Pizzafari or Flame Tree BBQ

We love Animal Kingdom... might even have to go this weekend ;)

I only stand as much as 5 hours at the Animal Kingdom and for some reason that place feels really stuffy. It also kills my chances to visit MGM Studios which I have been longing to visit for 3 years now. But since my family likes Animal Kingdom so much I have to go there. I will say Animal Kingdom has the best daytime parade out of all the parks.

I LOVE eating at Yak & Yeti and spending time in Asia. And even though it may not have a ton of attractions, every one it do have is a must do for us. And every land really feels like it take you to a different continent. I love how each continent is a fusion of the countries that exist within that section. I just love being in the park.

I'm impressed that someone here knows what my avatar is, so for that, I will over look your hatred for him! :ROFLOL:
I'm glad it's appreciated in some way, even if you do dislike him. :p

Having said that, your post made my day, thank you.

Kilamanjaro Safari and Everest - Love those rides. I also like the detail they gave Asia and Africa. All you have to do is look down at the ground to see it.

It's an amazing park with a few problems.

1. We always go in summer and frankly, it is just too hot. Africa really "feels" like Africa, ya, know?

2. It's big

3. It is difficult to zip around, so if you fastpass something in one area, it's quite a haul to go somewhere else and do something different while you're waiting for your fastpass time. This would be alleviated by having more attractions in each area.

Rafiki's Planet Watch, obviously :brick:
I usually spend half a day here on every trip. I will always do EE, Finding Nemo The Musical, and KS. I usually do Dinosaur and I also enjoy the Tusker House buffet whenever possible.

It's the park we visit the least often, but it still is a lot of fun. The safari, Dinosaur, and Everest are all great attractions. And as mentioned above, it always feels hotter there so Kali River Rapids is always a good way to cool off.

These are all the same reasons I go back too (I took out Primeval Whirl). I like KRR because of the themeing and the story it tells, but I feel that it's a very, very short ride for the length of time that you have to wait.

I'm not a huge fan of AK, but I do like it for the scenery and atmosphere there is just so much detail throughout the park. And of course I love Everest and the Safari is always fun. But other than that, there's not too much that keeps me there. I really miss the Tarzan Rocks show though, the Nemo one is just too boring for me. And the Tusker House Breakfast is amazing!

Hard to explain. but me and my gf love the AK and we always go there first before any other parks. I guess the cool part of it is the explorer atmosphere you get from walking around. I really like all the attention to detail as well. Even Dinorama has great attention to detail whether you like it or not. Horrible overall theme idea, but still very rich of theme.

My DH and I love it because we can relax and enjoy it without feeling like we have to rush to the next ride and since we skip Dinoland we don't usually seem to run into as many strollers as the MK. It's very nice to eat lunch down by the lake in the shade and watch the water and we always seem to catch a breeze.
