I can just picture JeffB in bed at night thinking "My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention."

So, to overcome some of the stated problems in this thread, he decides to install realtime video to ensure each drone's progress can be monitored. Sounds Logical, right?

The phrase " . . .everyone loses their minds . . ." pops right up at me.

When my DH was in college he worked 12am - 4am loading UPS trucks. Think dropping packages are new to drone tech?

I worked for a Target warehouse for a couple of years. So many broken glasses, plates, chairs, tables....ahhhh the memories.

The first man ever put in space by the US was done in 1961. A mere 8 years later, Neil Armstrong was walking on the moon. If we can solve all of those problems, I am fairly confident that we can get autonomous drones to drop off a copy of "Eat, Pray, Love" on your doorstep.

There is no question that there are problems to overcome, the CEO said as much. He also said that this is 4-5 years in the future and it might never work, but to not try is foolhardy.

All they would have to do is reinforce the hull of the drones if they are finding this is an issue. But if they're flying high enough, why would it be an issue?

Which in turn would require additional propulsion which in turn would require additional energy storage which in turn would affect loft and more than likely Bernoulli's Principle which would also in turn affect avionics and require reconfiguration as well as the maneuvering system.

Short reply. No you cannot simply reinforce the hull. Talking about an entire refit or ground-up rebuild for "reinforcing" on something like this. It is not robust like military chopper which CAN have armor plating of various materials installed to an extent without large issues.

I looked at some of his other posts on Twitter... Besides the politics, he was bashing the admins of this forum, WDW1974, and many others for "promoting lies". Also, he claimed Iger was saving the company. Um...

He seems to have a vendetta against a number of people on WDWMagic and WDWMagic in general. Getting on his hate list is kind of an ironic badge of honor. Read through his tweets and you will find a bunch more.

That guy is a real treat isn't he?? Holy crap. :jawdrop: He sounds like a 6 year old who is having it out with another kid over who gets the better swing at the playground. More than 50% of his tweets are griping about this site. Smells like a banned member.

I feel left out. This is a mission for the Sageteers!
All you have to do is say something far out and controversial like "It would be nice if Disney stepped up their maintenance program" or "That hamburger I had at Pecos Bill's was not the best hamburger I have ever eaten in my life" and you should get a spot on his wall of shame. If you really want to shoot to the top of the list, just talk bad about CBJ.

You seem really popular from the number of tweets, for a moron.

I don't understand how Twitter works and can only see individual posts (or tweets? tweetings?) when they're linked.

So, let me get this straight...

The guy reads here, a board he doesn't like full of people he doesn't like, then he posts (or tweets or whatever) about what he doesn't like.

Am I off?

And how on Earth could anyone not love PUSH? There must be something wrong with that kid. (I blame Meg.)

Twitter is kind of like going into a room and yelling something. Many statements will just be a single statement and that is it, not conversation. When a conversation does start you can click "expand conversation" and see it.

Twitter tends to be a bit too chaotic for my taste, which is why I rarely use it.

You are pretty much correct. He reads here, he fumes, and begins name calling. I just hope that he does not catch the wrong person on the wrong day. He has pretty much none of the privacy settings turned on for his social media accounts and it would take about 10 minutes to find him on any given day. Sooner or later his keyboard is going to write a check his body is going to have to cash.
