I think lunch and dinner are both very good. I do plan on booking lunch for my next trip, just to get some of that ooey gooey toffee cake!

We have been there twice before, and are going back the first night of our next trip. We are all huge fans of the food and the ambiance. In fact, I think our 13 year old DD is even more excited for this than thenYachtsman.

We used to thoroughly enjoy the combination of character dining and theming at this location. Now, it is simply an uninspired Thanksgiving dinner.

I personally think everything about this place is great (with the exception of the bathrooms). Me and my other half have this place on our list of must-do's. The food is simple, and yes it's a thanksgiving dinner but it's soo good! For all the people saying it's boring, uninspiring... I think you're missing the entire theme of the restaurant. It's colonial times- simple times, simple foods clothes, furniture, simple everything. If you're looking for an uppedy, high class meal, go to Victoria and Alberts.

Went there for the first time on our last trip. Had the pot roast and thought it was very good. Can not remember what the family had but my recollection was they thought it was nothing to write home about.

Simple food can be inspired. LTT is simple food where the secret ingredient is ..... salt.

You can do simple food from teh colonial era and make it excellent and interesting. LTT is neither food from the colonial era, nor is it anythign interesting or inspired. It is mass produced generic "food"

It is what it is. You go once, you might go again, but after that, plenty of other choices. It's very specific. Huge hit during the holiday's due to its colonial roots and all.

I had been wanting to ask something about the menu at LTT, so I'm happy to see this post (and I certainly don't mean to hijack it).

Am I reading the on-line menu correctly that lunch is the only time they serve the individual entrees, and that for dinner they ONLY offer the Patriot's Platter?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

I like the LTT, and the reservation we have for is for "daddy", I have a BOG for my wife and we have a Chef Mickey reservation for the kids. So we all win in a sense (except for me since I have to pay for all of it :arghh:)

Went for dinner last year and enjoyed it. The food was cooked well for being family sized portions. Our waiter was great and the service was fast. The only downfall I can think of is the bathrooms. They are small and a line can form fast when the restaurant gets busy.

Ended up there accidentally for dinner (hit it JUST after lunch ended). The food was very enjoyable, but I can definitely see where it would be extremely heavy during summer. Service was pretty slow, but I don't know if that's the norm or not.

I'd really like to eat there just to experience the atmosphere of it and I'd say the same about Diamond Horseshoe. Mainly because I've never seen them open. But unless it was a cooler winter night, the food served at both places just seems so heavy. I can't see eating a "Thanksgiving"-style meal when it's 100 degrees out.

I was really struck during MVMCP this year that The Liberty Tree Tavern would be the most amazing place to visit for cookies and hot chocolate.

My dad was disappointed after eating here because its NOT colonial food (I'm guessing he didn't look at the menu). After visiting Colonial Williamsburg and eating at a few of their taverns, he felt a bit short-changed at LTT. Obviously Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom is NOT trying to be Colonial Williamsburg, but the theming is so good inside the restaurant, I wish the food would match.
