What is your favorite way to pass the time while waiting in line for an attraction? Games? People watching? Just curious, because it is boring waiting in line, most of the time.

46 days until paradise (WDW).

Caribbean here I come!

I like to take in all the neat things that Disnay has done to make the que area unique (i.e. smells are my favorite).

I see we will be at the Caribbean Beach at about the same time (June 15 - June 21)....48 more days to go.

Epcot is my fav

Sing songs, talk to others in line (getting to know where there from and how they like WDW), telling jokes, making fun of what other people are wearing (it may sound mean, but some outfits are funny!) thats about it

Buy a nice PDA and play games.

Take pictures of the themeing.

Play 'I Spy'

Meet new people.

Find out if anyone has been on WDWMagic forums.

Make up your own trivia challenge. Also, play the Connection game WDW style. (See Trivia thread if you don't know what I am talking about.)

Hunt for Hidden Mickey's - real or imagined.

I say pretty much just take in the scenery, talk to people, joke. When I was there last year for spring break, some 14 year old girls started to talk trash to me and my friends lol. Needless to say that led to entertainment through out the wait.

I guess pretty much the same as everyone else... talk to other people in line, to see where they're from, how many times they've been to Disney... look around at what's going on around me and taking in details... yep, and plan what we're going to do next... and... (I'm admitting this in public...) I like to see how many people have visible tattoos, and what they're of, because I got my first tattoo about a year ago (a dolphin) and I'm planning for my next one...

Study the park map and event timings to see how my my ludicrously out of step planning (wait times always too short) will impact on the rest of the day. Updates after every ride.

I always enjoy talking to other people in line, especially when I meet people from my area... and it seems that everyone down in Disney is from New England.. haha

I do enjoy looking at the surroundings, my favorite being the line for the ToT, which is an amazing setting if you ask me. And, looking for hidden mickeys is key!

hmmm... i suppose it depends on the mood.... i usually look for a spot to either sit or lean against something - save some energy... then we look at our map (yes - we always use a map regardless of how often we go) and cross off the things we have done - circle the things we want to do - and cross off the things we are going to skip... check out the scenery - look for hidden mickey's... talk to others in line... talk about the ride and what we like best about it, what we are most looking forward to.... most of all we just take in our surroundings and are thankful that we are there!!!

I've been noticing MORE and MORE people from New England on these FORUMS.

But yes...there are always a lot of people that say "I'm from Boston" (and when you ask them what part...they'll say..."Well, about 45 minutes away)

You hit on 2 biggies for me:

Journaling - I do it when I can while in line. I write my trip reports. Problem is I going during 'off seasons' so I don't have line waits. But I do it each night in the hotel.

Answer questions - while not a CM, I have the general same knowledge as a typical CM; even more knowledge at my native Disneyland. I enjoy helping the hopelessly less or answering questions - where to view XXXX, where should I eat, etc.

i do that!!! i don't know why, but for some reason i always say i'm from boston - maybe because massachusetts is so long??? (really grasping for an explanation)... and then people ask where and i'm left to explain "well - i'm not technically from the city - i'm outside by about 20 minutes or so in this little town called....." and i always feel like a jerk!

note to self - work on saying "i'm from mass!!" or "i'm from New England"....

I seem to spend most of my time checking out the theming in the queue, looingk for hidden Mickeys or other hidden gags in the attractions, reading the park map and entertainment schedule, and If I get extreemly board, I'll pull of my didgital camera and review the pics I took earlier in the day.
