Defend your favorite Walt Disney World theme park. Which one is REALLY the best to you?? And what would make the other three parks better in the future against your favorite??

i don't think anything could change my mind about the MK... i love all the disney parks, but the MK is just the epitome of disney magic and fantasy.

As a first time visitor this year I really am caught, AK for its simpleness and authenticity in certain areas, MGM for its showbizzy feel and great shows, but yes, MK does give a 36 year old a lump in his throat when walking up Main St USA for the first time. I really dont have a favourite, all four parks add to the magic. Cop out I know...

Epcot -because of the multicultural atmosphere, and because I worked there :D closely followed by Animal Kingdom because of the big efforts to make it work, not only with the animals but also with people from so far away and from such different cultures than this part of the world. :animwink: :sohappy:

For me it is still the Magic Kingdom. I have such fond memories of it from childhood so it is still my favorite. I would have to say after that I would say Epcot. Then Animal Kingdom. Then MGM. MGM although it has 2 of my favorite attractions in ToT and RNRC, the rest of the park does not do it for me.

I would probably have to say that The Magic Kingdom is still my favorite park. Great attractions like Big Thunder, Peter Pan, Buzz, Splash, Pirates, and Cinderella's Suprise Celebration, wonderful theming, classic characters, and, of course, Cinderella Castle. MGM is definatly my runner up. Tower of Terror is my favorite attraction in all of WDW and I love the Beauty and the Beast show, not to mention the entire 19304/ 40s Hollywood theme which I love.

MK is the first and the best. The others can't catch the original.

Epcot - 2nd

MGM - 3rd

AK - 4th

 See ya there in 35 days

MGM--partly because TOT is there, and partly because I'm a huge old movie buff! I love MK because of the fairy tale feel, AK because of all the animals and the variety of attractions (safari, Dinosaur, Festival of the Lion King), and Epcot because it's the same age as me :D and because of the combination of future and culture. But, for me, nothing tops TOT, RnRC, Voyage of the Little Mermaid (this one's a shocker, I know :animwink: ), ST, and the GMR. MGM is always our first park, and I guess I also associate it with just knowing that I'm FINALLY back at WDW.

It used to be EPCOT but that has went down a notch over time (since the close of World of Motion and Horizons).

1-MK
2-Epcot
3-Studios
4-Animal Kingdom

IMO, AK has a lot of potential but as it is now, it seems very imcomplete.

Epcot of the 20th century

I have to say Epcot, esp. the early-mid 90's one.

As a kid I loved a peek into the future (real or not) and the idea that you could travel the world in a day.

Plus it was like nothing else on the planet, a thinking theme park where the entire family could do EVERYTHING together .

I know it's gone but even today I just love being there.
MK is today a very close 2nd.

Favorite Park

So far it seems that the ratings are in the order that the parks opened. So this brings up another question, has quality suffered in the newer parks or is the Magic Kingdom just a "one-of-a-kind" place to be??

I still love MK, but if I only had one park to go to (no hopping), it would be Epcot - no doubt. Size matters. :lookaroun
