I have to go with Spaceship Earth, it's so original and just cool. The tree of life is a very close second for me though, it's gorgeous and so detailed with all the animal carvings. I hate the fact that its made from an oil rig for some reason though. hah.

Doesn't the Sorcerer's Hat HAVE to block the replica of the Chinese Theater for legal reasons? I'm pretty sure that was the case, but I don't claim to be an expert. Still, the Earful Tower was way cooler for the Studios and made much more sense, though the Hat isn't so bad either.

The Tree of Life is WAY more impressive than I thought it would be. It's HUGE and gorgeous. Very Lion King. My first trip to AK was this last April (the trip before was in like '95 or '96, so AK wasn't up and running yet) and I have to say, I was definitely skeptical of the park. The Tree really helped shed any negative prejudices I had about AK.

Cinderella Castle is friggin' magnificent. If you don't get filled up with awe and happiness and nostalgia in front of that thing, you have no heart. It's a fact, jack. So totally classically Disney park. That first glimpse you get of it at the end of Main St. is just a knockout.

But my favorite is Spaceship Earth. Even the stupid wand can't stop it. To me, SSE IS the future. Well, the 80's future, which just happens to be my absolute favorite version of the future. That friggin' space golfball is just so epic and inspiring and monstrous and futuristic. Totally love it. Even with that stupid wand.

I think that Epcot is cool in that the centrepiece is a ride, although I guess the same could be said for AK now. I like that they hold attractions.
MGM - not too sure on this one really. And Cinderella's Castle is just, well, stunning isn't it?!

I have to say the Tree of Life is my choice as the animals carved into it are just amazing. However, the Castle is the most magical one that brings back so many memories!!

The hat at MGM... do I REALLY need to commit on that?

Don't forget Fakeman's Chinese Theater (they have really jumbled with MGM haven't they)

Was the theatre ever really considered an Icon? Don't get me wrong, I love the theatre, however the Earful Tower was always the icon for MGM.. wasn't it? (before that HAT came to town that is)

Cinderella's Castle for me (would have been SSE, but that view fell victim to the wand). The Tree of Life is really nice too, but nothing says Disney to me like Cinderella's Castle.
As for the Sorceror's Hat, I hate where it stands (blocking the theater) and what it stands for (Disney overzealously pushing merchandise), but I must say that the Earful Tower was just too bland for me, up in the air on its legs like that. Also, the Earful Tower just seemed too out of the way, not right down the park's main avenue, like all park icons are. I hope that oce the issues are resolved with the theater, that it would become the icon of MGM and the hat will disappear or at least move and take on a smaller role, but I don't see that happening. To me though, the theater always was and always will be MGM's icon, even if it isn't featured on magnets and photo albums with the castle, SSE, and the Tree of Life.
