What is your favorite "other"?

My favorite 'other' is visiting the resorts, just taking in the atmosphere - especially in the evening, when everything's so calm, and there's barely anyone around. :)

Also.. Turkey Legs and Churros. Italian Ice at DTD. Cirque Du Soliel, and Maroon 5 at the House of Blues (Hehe, October 17th is a long day for me, driving 7 hours to see a great band at an even better venue, guess Ill be forced to spend saturday at the MK).
The costumes of the custodial staff (most likely to get dirty, yet wear all white!), and letting a child get a pin from you that lights up their eyes.

My favorite others would be the smells and sounds walking down Main St. and taking boats out anywhere and spending part of the afternoon on the water.

Two of mine have already been mentioned--Voices of Liberty and details.

The third favorite is people watching. No better place to take a small break and observe the people walking around you from all over the world. Fascinating!

I really enjoyed watching Belle's Storytime with my kids. I find it very relaxing and quiet there.

I also like the talking Buzz Lightyear with the giant Viewmaster prior to getting on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Definately British Invasion! I grew up on the Beatles and always end up singing along with a group of old-timers who's knees look like tree bark. This way i don't stand out too much.

My favorite "other" is that feeling you get walking down Main Street USA. There is nothing in the world that makes you feel more at home than the music, the sights, and the smells of Main Street.

Cool Thread!

Well apart from most that have already been mentioned I think mine are.............

Kungaloosh cocktails at the Adventurers Club

Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich ice Creams

Waking up on your first morning and knowing there's only you to please for 2 whole weeks!

Retail Therapy Disney Style!

If I think of any others I'll be back!

Hands Down my favorite "other" is waling around EPCOT's world showcase at night. It is so cool looking and has such a magical ambiance.

Plus...as someone already mentioned...the smell of Disney World is just so magical.

I think the water fountain at Epcot, like it was posted before: I also could watch it all day!!!

Anyway, I also like the "night-time water show thingy" when you stay at the Contemporary...I forget the name of it (obviously)

HEHE:lol:

Get to the Magic Kingdom early, buy one of those GIANT CHOCOLATE COVERED RICE-KRISPY TREATS and some OJ for breakfast. Eat it outside on the patio at Casey's near the Castle while watching everyone enter and walk down Main Street.

CLANG CLANG CLANG! What's that I hear? The morning trolley Show!! WOOHOO!

A Rice Krispy Treat never tasted so good!

:sohappy:

The background music in Futureworld at EPCOT. I love hearing instrumental versions of the attraction music, especially those that are no more like "listen to the land", "feel the flow", "energy you make the world go round" and of course anything from horizons.

My faviorite other is walking through the parks at night. WE try to get the last PS at a restaurant and when we come out, the park is practically empty. The slow walk back to the front gate is really cool.

Thought of another one!

Pam Brody, the pearly queen at the Rose & Crown Pub. She remembered me and Glen after 2 years when we returned! The night we got engaged she bought us a drink and now we exchange Christmas cards!

BTW no english pub that I know of has a pearly queen playing cockney tunes! That's definately for the tourists!

That is a place I like to stop and sit and have a nice drink and something heavy to eat. Highly recommend the place.

I noticed that a couple of folks mentioned the Dapper Dans. I, too, enjoy their music, and if you sing Barbershop music, after they finish their set you can ask to sing along in the quartet. I always try to find them and sing a song or two of standrard Barbershop music. Thye'll give you a hat to wear, make you an honorary member of the Main Street USA Barbershop Quartet Chapter, and have the crowds give you a hand at the end. It's a blast!
