Took a week off last week from this series of information. Back back to it.

So - what is up with Japan - why do you visit it, what do you enjoy, what makes this pavilion special.

Share and share alike.

Teppanyaki Dining Rooms, Mitsukoshi Department Store, the cute pond/garden area, the torii gate looking over at SSE, the pagoda and the takio drums, the quaint Bijutsu-kan Gallery..

practically everything! :)

Botan Rice Candy. I love that stuff! The inner wrappers of the candies are made of rice paper and they melt in your mouth. Everytime we go I stock up on them. Got about 4 boxes sitting here right now.

Japan is by far my favorite country in Epcot. Teppenyaki food is amazing and the store!!! I could spend hours in there. BHG I believe you are thinking of the Tempura restrauant. Can't think of exact name but it is in the same building as Teppenyaki.

I love love love love love love the Ginger sauce!!!

I would say the Pagoda and the drums...I can sit there for hours upon hours, if only they would play that long. I want to go up there one day and just start beating on the skins...I am pretty sure I would be escorted out of the park though:lol:

That rice paper is the best part of the candy. Plus there a free sticker inside, which was also a great bonus! :D You can also pick em up at a local chinatown too.

my favorite things about the pavilion are the pagoda and the torii gate. :sohappy: Very cool!

Japan's not my favorite pavillion in WS by any stretch, but I do like the fast food restaurant in the garden. Good food, pleasant view.

Definitely the Mitsukoshi Department Store. I always stock up on Pocky and fruit candies when I go there and try to keep some odd Japanese candy in my pocket for the rest of my vacation.

Also, I dig looking at all the wacky Japanese toys on display. Somehow, Mitsukoshi always manages to stock lots and lots of whatever major fad is about to become popular. They had Pokemon stuff by the ton 2 years before it became big, and their shelves also predicted the Gundam craze in the states. What kind of toys are they stocking now, because that's sure to be the next big thing in the US.

I love the general atmosphere of the land. - The quiet gardens in the back of the pavilion
- The waterfall and koi pond
- Mitsukoshi
- Yakitori House
- The cool museum / exhibit in the castle
- Kaki Goris!
- The amazingly detailed landscaping
