So I decided to just combine the rides that got the most votes from the other two polls into one main poll on the worst ride in Magic Kingdom. What do you think is the worst ride in the park? This includes story, theme, thrill, queue, and overall experience of the ride. It is NOT based on bias and personal experience for the ride/special connection. This is all about the overall quality of the ride.

If you think another ride should be considered, leave it in the comments (like maybe Mine Train or Peter Pan)
Let's discuss.

I simply cannot understand how the speedway will mesh with the Tron coaster - the former breaks the theme of the latter. So it gets my vote not only because it is the worst on its own "merits" (noise, smell, taking up far too much space for what it offers, etc.) but also because it makes the attractions around it worse.

My top five worst rides at the Magic Kingdom:

5. The Barnstormer - Not bad for a kiddie coaster but definitely not anything to write home about.

4. Astro Orbiter - I used to like this one a lot as a kid but nowadays I feel really uncomfortable when riding it.

3. Liberty Belle Riverboat - The scenery is mostly very uninteresting (aside from getting to pass by Big Thunder Mountain) and this ride would only be useful as a mode of transportation (which it sadly isn't). Only ideal for romantic couples to ride as it is.

2. The Magic Carpets of Aladdin - The spitting camels may be refreshing on a blazing summer day but the ride on its own is a waste of space that congests Adventureland.

1. Tomorrowland Speedway - I've already beaten this one to death.

I can't wait to ride Tomorrow Land Speedway with my little guy when he gets older. It was such a fav of mine growing up.
I hope they keep it - - - A couple of touch-ups would be really nice though.
Only if they make the cars electric. If not, the ride is better off going the way of Universe of Energy.

I choose Tomorrowland Speedway simply because it's technology is ancient. If the cars were electric then it would make sense in a land of tomorrow. All the other rides, whether you hate them or not, are themed appropriately for the area they are in.

Kids would enjoy local carnivals rides that go up and down. They aren't always the greatest barometer of what is good and what is not.

The amusing thing, is with a little love, improving the technology, it could actually still have a place. How about for a starters they remove the petrol choke? How about adding a few show scenes to the track? Hell they can't even do a cheap 'Cars IP' makeover on it.
I agree those updates could make it more fun. I guess I don't get the 'vile nonsense' quote. Seems extreme to me...but whatever. Lots of people, lots of opinions.

Yes, they need to update the scenery along the ride, but if you can catch a ride on a slow day, when the boat isn't full (i.e. mostly empty), it is really an enjoyable ride.

Often, when the boat is mostly full, you can barely hear the narration, and if you don't get a seat, or a spot along the rail, it is kind of lame.

I like the speedway. I don't love it, but I do enjoy it. Once you get out of the loading area and are actually driving on the track, it's quite enjoyable and it's actually once of the few places where you have some distance from other guests around you. And for those who don't drive it's a good laugh.

I voted for the Magic Carpets. I've never been on it (though I've been on Dumbo) but I dislike how it interrupts the otherwise beautiful theming of Adventureland.

I get why a lot of people dislike speedway. I don't like the smell and its seems like it could be easily updated with electric carts. One would think disney has had to do a cost breakdown of this, so I'm guessing there is a reason they have not. However kids love this ride! Mine included. What 4 year old doesn't jump at the chance to drive a car! It also is not terribly themed once you are on it. For me it has to be Aladdin. Just out of place thematically for me. It is more fantasy than adventure, and the bottleneck it creates is terrible. I have also been on it and the forward/backward tilting does not work.

Speedway is a disgrace.

All this 'it's a right of passage for young visitors' is vile nonsense.
Totally disagree. Some of my fondest memories of my trips when my son was still quite young were his joy and amazement at “driving” these cars. I will cherish those memories forever and, in turn, will always have special feelings about that ride. I hope the ride remains forever.

It's vile in the sense that standing in the queue you are inhaling petrol fumes. In this day and age - with all the enviromental awareness, young children quueing up - and all you can feel and smell is petrol fumes. That's vile and not Disney.
It’s a lot better than some of the other smells I’ve encountered in crowded queues.

Anyway, I love the smell of the speedway. Totally adds to the overall experience of that ride, IMO. In fact, my son always used to refer to the ride as the “stinky cars,” which he meant in the best way.

The sooner the Speedway changes its cars to electric ones or closes down completely, the better. As it is, it makes our society look like a complete and total laughingstock by having it located in a land like Tomorrowland, which is not good for the land’s (or Disney’s) image. It’s a great thing that Stitch’s Great Escape is already gone, so if only something similar can be done with the Speedway...

An amusement park ride makes our society look like a laughingstock? LMAO!

I voted magic carpets cause it's another spinner and it's placement is just horrible.

I understand the dislike for it, but the Speedway is like Santa Claus - you believe in it more as a kid. And at one point or another it is pure imagination magic.

Tomorrowland is supposed to be a land that is focused on technological advancements that could enable us to make proper progress in our future, and gas-powered cars are clearly a product of the past. If you guys are so obsessed with letting your kids drive track-restrained cars that travel at revolutionary speeds of up to 7mph, then maybe you should start writing letters to Disney to make the cars go electric instead so that it’s guaranteed that your precious little ride will never be put on the chopping block.
