Comment and tell us what you think is the worst Disney resort in these categories:

Value: which resort gives you the least for your money?

Customer Service: which resort do you think cares the least about travelers?

Food: which resort has the worst food options overall? (Quick service, sit down, and snacks)

Amenities: which resort has the worst amenities? (Pool, activities, etc.)

Rooms: which resort has the worst actual rooms? (Size, design, bathroom)

So go ahead; give me your WORST! :D

I'm guessing as compared to all Disney Resorts. I certainly don't understand the "why" of this question either. All of the criteria set forth are incredibly subjective. What is worst for some, may be fine for others. For example, in our family's opinion the rooms at the value resorts are too small for our taste. I have a close friend with small children that love the value resorts simply on a cost basis.

I'm not sure anyone who's been to WDW can classify one specific resort that cares the least about their guests. Perhaps one or two employees, but a whole resort? I don't think there are any "worsts", just a lot of "differences" between resorts.

WDW offers so many different types of resorts that it's not fair to try and compare them. Maybe asking what is your favorite resort and why will lead to great discussions and would allow you to see true differences of opinions. As others have said, someone may dislike FW because they don't like being outdoors while someone who enjoys being outdoors would really dislike the GF.

Oh, this is completely to get some opinions! All subjective, all for fun, not meant to be taken seriously :)

Least Value... GF, I'd expect a lot more for the rate
Lacking Service... None, its not the resort but the inattentive CM thats handling your complaint.

Overall worst ? I've never stayed at them but I think the All Star resorts are generally rated lowest on the travel reviews sites and travel books I've read. The reason for the low ratings are always kid noisy, crowded conditions, lacking in overall design and layout. You get what you pay for so I'd naturally expect less from a value resort.

Not to open this up, but the value resorts really aren't "value" anymore. I remember being able to stay there for $50 or less for a night. I get the whole price increase for everything, so maybe a name change should come? I get that they are a value compared to the others, but maybe something like economy hotels?

Worst resort is the one that I failed to book because it was filled up ;)

I think a better question is value for you money. For instance, Is the All Stars Movies better at 100 dollars a night vs. The Contemporary at 600 dollars a night. Both are on property, both offer decent accommodations.

I'm not a seasoned veteran like many people here, but overall, I've not had a bad stay at any of the Disney resorts, be it the All Stars Sports, POR, CBR and soon to be Contemporary. :)

I also think this post will just outline the differences in what people like. Some may not like the value resorts, others may like them. I personally love FWC. I also like All Star Music resort. Are there kids at value resorts; yes, they are designed to appeal to children with their over the top icons and lots of color. I personally would never wish to stay at the GF, too stuffy of a feel for me. I also would not pay that much per night. I would love to stay at the Poly - just once, I have wanted to stay there since 1972 when I first laid eyes on the place. Again, the cost per night is just too much for me to want to spend. The décor at CR just doesn't do it for me and so I don't really want to stay there.
So here goes: I have dined at Cape May at the BC resort and had a nice meal. I have enjoyed meals from the dining area of All Star Music, they had a really nice evening meal selections. Is it still the same after the most recent renovations; I do not know this.
I think that FWC is turning too many of its sites into Premium Sites and pricing out the campground for many folks. It has become a toss up on which is more economical the extra work & expense of taking the RV or just booking a value room and hopping in the car.
Just some thoughts, I really don't think that WDW has the "worst" of anything at any of its resorts.

You can still get pretty close. A rack rate All Star room at 30% discount during value season is only going to cost you about $67 a night. That's way cheaper than any La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, or similar, and with far more activities and amenities.

In the "real world," anything below $80 is going to be very risky. A WDW value resort for that price is a great deal.

This is very true, just a bit harder to really get that value price now than it used to be lol. They are still fun places to stay at and much more preferred than off property. :)

I remember staying at Pop Century for something like $84 per night with free dining. This was in 2006 when the deal included the regular dining plan at a value resort, and it still included appetizers and gratuities. Now that was a bargain.

But I digress.

Having stayed at a value and moderate resorts, the value resorts are most definitely inferior in every way. Noisier, feel busier, less dining options, chain link queues at the bus stops, less interesting theme, pools aren't as nice, etc.

Not saying the value resorts are bad, I enjoyed PC just fine. It just seems pretty obvious that the worst resort on property, relatively speaking, is going to be one of the values. Most likely one of the All Stars because they are older than Pop.

Value wise, the deluxe resorts don't strike me as being worth the price difference. I can get a beautiful setting and decent amenities at Coronado Springs for a fraction of the price. The deluxes are nice, but how much would I be spending for proximity to the monorail? Those resorts are also easy to visit even if not staying there.

Service wise, it took longer to check in and it took longer for my luggage to arrive when I stayed at Pop Century. I think it was just a busy day though. I'd have to stay a few more times before concluding they provide inferior (but again, not bad) service.

That was more of what I meant about "value" :)

Absolutely. I usually stay at sports with my discount for around that amount. The cheapest to that is super 8 or motel 6 and we know their quality is not equivalent to disney.

2006? Those prices aren't around any more. I use to go to WL for $240 a night or something like that in 2006. Price is way higher now.
First trip I took to WDW with my then-GF-now-wife, we bought annual passes and got the AP price for a room at AKL. This was 2004. We had no view to speak of, but our rate was one-oh-five a night. And when we had to leave a day early to try to avoid an incoming hurricane (that turned out to be a big dud) they actually reimbursed us for 2 nights.
