What is the dress code for California Grill? Yay or nay?

Your money is green so they will likely take you no matter what you are wearing.

However, it is a special meal, in a special place. I've always found going back to the park showering and "dressing up" adds to the experience of the meal. By no means do you need suits and formal dresses but dress casual is nice. I have never been one to have MY meal ruined because someone is sitting next to me in a T-Shirt but for our own experience we find it is more a whole dining experience when treated that way.

Enjoy we love it there!

Others here know that the CG is my favorite restaurant on the planet. Everyone is posting their own experiences, and they have every right to feel how they feel. But I've never even once thought of this as a noisy restaurant. The beef filet has been voted many times as being the best beef dish in the state of Florida. The Spicy Kazan Roll (sushi) has always been incredibly fresh and tasty. The service has always been wonderful (well, I had a so-so waitress once, but that's way more the exception than the rule). During fireworks shows they dim the lights and pipe in the music. Sure, it's not as good as watching from the middle of the Main Street Plaza, but it's a totally unique view. And outside, on the balcony, they have excellent speakers so you can enjoy the audio track of the show there too.

Many people over the years have posted negative reviews, or stated that the CG is overrated. I'll never understand this, as it's always been just about perfect for me.

I agree, though I haven't yet dined there during the fireworks. I never noticed it being noisy either, but again, I have only gone at 5p when they first open. I have had the filet and the rib-eye as was impressed by both - good flavor, nice texture and richness.

My first time eating at CA Grill was not until my 7th WDW trip, but I've made sure it's part of my vacation every time since!
