What is the best way to use my meal allowance for these reservations?

Hi There,

We are going to have the DDP and will have 3 table service meals. I have reservations for Minnies Springtime Meal Fantasmic Dinner at Hollywood and Vine. It says some dining plans are accepted. Will I be able to use one Table Service Meal? We also have reservations at Hollywood and Vine for Breakfast, Crystal Palace for Breakfast and Chef Mickeys for Dinner. My thoughts were to use a meal for the Fantasmic Dinner, Hollywood and Vine Breakfast and Chef Mickeys Dinner. Then pay out of pocket for Crystal Palace. Is that the best way to do it ? TIA.

Make sure none of these restaurants require two dining credits. You would hate to go to Minnie's find out it takes two credits and end up paying for an extra meal later on. (I've had that happen.) Otherwise, just follow the above advice. :)

Use the calculator at distripplanner.com -- it will tell you which meals are least expensive, out of pocket, on average, and tell you which ones would be the best use of your DDP credits.

That being said -- two meals at Hollywood & Vine? Are you sure you want to do that? I know opinions differ, but it is consistently one of the most dreadfully-rated and poorly-reviewed restaurants anywhere on property.

I have to agree with this. We went once and did not enjoy it one bit. :( We've haven't gone back. We got a "first family of the day" little keepsake post card, and that was the best part of the breakfast. We figure if the first meal of the day isn't that great, then it's not likely that later meals would be any better.

Wow what a great resource! Thanks for sharing this. Bookmarked!

Thank you all! I hadn't heard about the bad reviews for Hollywood and Vine. To be honest, the appeal for both meals would be the characters and then the reserved seating for Fantasmic. Hopefully the food isn't gross.

We've eaten there many times and have always have had good meals. I guess everyone's opinion and experiences are different. But we've always had positive experiences. Hope you do too!

I also thought the food was good. Not stellar, but not gross either. :)
