What is the best time of Spring to Visit

Looking to take a quick quick getaway trip w. our daughter (not yet born, and already planning her 1st Disney trip!) next Spring. Since our baby will be under a year, this will be more for relaxing rather than running thru parks...We will probably just to go MK and then sit by the pools.

I haven't been in the Springtime since I was young and not the one doing the planning, so when is the best time to go when it is warm and sunny and NOT crowded w/ Spring Break or Easter tourists? We were thinking next March or April sometime, obviously avoiding holiday dates, but when I look at the weather there now it seems a little cool...Is it just this year, or is it always like that?

Also, will then allow us to take our daughter on some of the rides in MK? Like Dumbo, Small World...Obvious kid friendly rides. Never been w/ a baby before, so I have no idea!

I would also reccomend Disney's Animal Kingdom. Though it's short on rides, a 1 year old might enjoy lookiong at the animals (and there is a petting yard) and can definitely be taken at a leisurely pace.

Last year I went the second week of March. The crowds were light, despite Spring break occuring. It really was decent weather, thought it did get chilly at night.

I agree with going to Animal Kingdom another benifit of that park is that it is shaded. My sister LOVED animal when she was 2 1/2 meeting the characters there was a lot easier then waiting in 45 minute lines at magic.

Best time to go would be early May, or Late April. March can be quiet at times but it is college spring break. April will be spring break for kids in the north east but its normally not too too crowed. Also I just checked the calender for next year and Easter falls late. So If its the same week as spring break, I would avoid going. Early May is nice because F&G is still going on, crowds are low and weather is beautiful. If you decided to go in May, Just don't go at the end of the month because of Memorial Day and schools begin to get out for the summer.

YES! They are kid rides, after all!!! Took my daughter, who was 6 weeks old on her first visit, on almost all the kiddie rides (can't remember Dumbo, though). She slept through most of them, but it was a great mommy/daddy experience with the first child! Also, some of the boat rides in EPCOT are great- Living with the Land, the Mexico ride- the water sounds and rocking would lull her to sleep :) Might want to avoid Norway, with the backwards section.

Hope you have a great visit!

We are going from March 12 - 22 next year, which happens to be Spring Break for a lot of us up here in Canada. The parks are usually packed, but we always manage. The weather has been terrific the last 3 trips, all during our Spring Break. I am hoping these colder temps were just a fluke this year and that it warms up for everyone heading down soon (and for us again next March)!

Thank you!! Do you think it may be easier to splurge on a Deluxe hotel attached to a monorail if we can get a deal? That way we're not sitting forever in buses w/ the baby?

Absolutely go for a monorail hotel if you can. The great thing about it if you're going to spend a lot of time at MK is that you can easily head back to the room for a midday nap and then get back to the park quickly. Even going to/from Epcot is much easier. We did it when our son was about 18 months, and it made the trip seem so much more relaxed.

yes! a monorail hotel would be great! We always took our own stroller so we could push a sleeping baby right onto the monorail then to the room; so much easier!
