What is going in the Circusland tents?

There is the thought that there could be a small food location located somewhere in one of them (or near one). If you look at the picture below, it shows Humphrey holding a candy apple in his hand. Now, this could mean nothing. The others seemed themed to their role in the land however so it may make some sense. Just pointing it out as a possibility.

What's still unclear is how the meet and greets will work, what characters, etc. Right now we know it is just a side show theme. We don't know much more.

One of the two will most definately be Silly Side Show Pete's or whatever its called. Dont know what that will entail, my guess is a interactive funhouse of sorts. :D

Im sure some of the more insider members know more. :veryconfu

I know I'm just wishful thinking here...but I would've liked the queue for the meet and greets to have little sideshow scenes...

(example: A 3-foot man-eating chicken...and show a dwarf eating a bucket of chicken.)

I think it's odd how Disney hasn't provided any details about what is going inside the two big tents. Suspiciously odd.

My hunch is that there's a brand new concept going into the tents, something to do with the NextGen and XPass stuff, and the tents are going to end up being a really big deal.

It's just too weird how Disney won't/can't mention what is going to be happening inside the tents. :lookaroun

How is this suspicious? Perhaps they simply want to finish the work before declaring what will be in what. But from what has been posted before, one will probably be a gift shop, while the other will more than likely be a meet and greet locale. Not sure how any of that is suspicious....

Not quite the conspiracy you want it to be. The blueprints clearly label them as MERCHANDISE and CHARACTER MEET. Now, if they make it a super fancy meet-n-greet, it wouldn't surprise me. But I don't think they'll be pulling out the big guns and showcasing them in a tent in the middle of Storybook Circus :p

But has Disney publicly stated what is going in the tents? I remember the leaked blueprints from a couple years ago, and remember them being labeled as "Merchandise" and "Characters Meet", but since then Disney hasn't really explained what's going in there.

We do have the phrase "Sideshow Pete's" thrown around by Disney, but I don't remember them explaining what that was exactly.

It's odd that we have all this artwork and official explanations of what is going in all the buildings of New Fantasyland; Belle's, Gaston's, Ariel's, the Dwarves, the Dumbo tent pre-show, the Casey Jr. water area, etc. But the tents get glossed over or ignored totally in the official Disney press releases and explanations.

That's odd to me, and makes me think there's something top-secret going on in there that will really boost the Storybook Circus "Wow!" factor when the tents do finally open.

I will say that your optimism about this is a bit unexpected, but hopefully we see something good.

I hope your conspiracy proves to be true, but even the more recent and updated versions of the site development plans label the tents the same way. I think Pete's will be a fancy MnG, perhaps along the lines of the Town Square Theater. It will probably have a Dumbo-esque interactive take-a-number queue to keep the kiddies occupied while they wait their turn. Beyond that, I'm not hopeful. Again, I don't predict Disney will be debuting their big NextGen secret in the back corner of a pseudo-land.

I actually think quite the opposite. I think they are still unsure if they definitely want to have a store and a meet n greet. I think they haven't made their final decision yet and thats why it's not mentioned. Also, what characters would they have in the Circus tent for the M&G? It seems
all the characters already have their places in MK and I can't think of any that would go with the circus theme besdies dumbo. Maybe they will do some kind of a circus barnum and bailey type show in the tent?

My feeling is that the only reason they ARE'NT talking about it much is because it IS just another M&G and merch location...would be nice to have more but my guess is just a little different theming inside, coat of paint and remove princesses and fairies and add a couple other characters in circus attire.. i'm not complaining though because thats what we have read all along. If something different it will just be a pleasant surprise then...

I agree with this. If it was going to be something really exciting in there they would be talking about it. They never talked about what was going to be in the train station, because it's just restrooms, nothing exciting.
