What is different about booking a trip through a website like Orbitz?

Hi! The title pretty much says it ;) I have booked a trip through Orbitz and want to know what I will be missing out on since I did not book through Disney directly. If anyone could tell me what to expect and what I will need to do, that would be great. Thanks!

I don't know if I am doing something different, but I just went in to Orbitz to look at hotels for Orlando May 7 thru May 15 and no promo code came up. Same as July, end of February. My screen look's like Expedia's screen only say's Orbitz at the top. Do I have to be a member to see a promo code? Never did before.

Advertisements with promo codes tend to only show up when going to the Orbitz website on a desktop computer. The phone app and the mobile version of the website don't usually allow for the screen real estate to display those extra ads.

Promo codes are often also included in e-mail news from Orbitz.

Currently when you go onto the desktop website, it shows a promo code of BESTVACAY. The offer is book by Jan 31 for travel by June 30. That promo code will apply to Disney hotels, and if there are discounted rooms available, will be added on top of the Disney discount. (Though be aware that the payment and cancellation rules are different than when booking directly through Disney)

Thank you for the info. I am on a desk top computer. I don't know if Malware bytes or AdBlock is creating a problem now. Never use to. But like I said, my screen look's exactly like Expedia when it is finished doing a search, and no place to put a promo code. Anywhere. I understand what you are saying, but on my side of the world, Ohio, something has changed from what I use to see and what you are able to see or do. Again, thanks.

Edit: When I do a search for Orbitz and go into Orbitz.com, it is one way (like Expedia) but on my search screen if I go down further to Orbitz promotions and promo codes, it is the old way with promo code. Thanks for help

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
