What would happen if I had reservations at a restaurant in Epcot, but the park was at capacity near the time of the ressie? They would still have to let you in to the park, correct? Just booked our trip for the 25-31 (spontaneous much?)... :sohappy:

The parks have 4 phases of closure due to capacity.

Phase 1 Closure
Casual visitors are turned away at the automobile toll plazas. This means that people without tickets, those with one-day, single-park tickets, and those intending to use cast mamber passes will not be allowed to park.
Other guests may enter:
Those with multi-day or multi-park tickets
Those staying at a Disney Resort
Annual Passholders
Those re-entering the park that day.
Those "hopping" from another park.
Those with in-park reservations or appointments.
Those arriving via Disney transportation

Phase 2 Closure
The following guests are allowed through the turnstiles and into the parking lots:
Those staying at a Disney Resort
Annual Passholders
Those re-entering the park that day.
Those "hopping" from another park.
Those with in-park reservations or appointments.
Those arriving via Disney transportation

Phase 3 Closure
The following guests are allowed through the turnstiles and into the parking lots:
Those staying at a Disney Resort
Annual Passholders
Those with in-park reservations or appointments.

Phase 4 Closure
The park and parking lot are closed to all visitors.

In your particular case you would be allowed in all the way until a Phase 4 closure which is quite rare.

Thanks for that phase list, Yoda. I've never actually seen the parameters before. Good to see that I'd be good through Phase 3 no matter what, but we really do our best to avoid times of the year where there would even be a Phase 1 closing.

That just sounds miserable to me.

No, you won't. As Yoda pointed out, after the park reaches a stage 4 closing no one will be allowed into the park for an allotted period of time until a certain number of people have left the park. My suggestion, if you have a reservation get to the park as early as you can to avoid that happening to you!

When was the last time Epcot got to phase 4? December 31, 1999? Did it even get to phase 4 that night?
If memory serves me correctly it hit phase 2 that night. Of the 4 parks, Epcot is the least likely to go into a phased closure. The OP should be fairly safe.

That's what I thought. Do you happen to remember if any of the parks made it to phase 4 that night? I can't imagine what it would be like under such circumstances.

Not that I know of. The only phase 4 I remember was in April of 2009 at MK.
