What If…. Season 2 [GAME THREAD]

Welcome, one and all,
to “What If…” Season 2!!

Over the next four months, our nineteen Imagineers will travel across the globe, and across time! The two teams will visit nearly every Disney Resort on Earth, tackling a variety of Imagineering challenges designed to appeal to veterans and newbies; casual players, and true competitors!

But that’s not all, as season 2 also features 2 special twists!

While there are no eliminations in the game, unlike any Imagineering competition in recent memory, this game is a Best of Eleven Series - the first team to win six challenges will be the regular season victors! We will play all eleven rounds however, as there will be WildCard spots available in the postseason for members of the other team!

But that’s not all,

Introducing, the “Flip the Script” token!

Each team will receive one token at the start of the game which they can use to swap the current prompt for an alternate challenge! Only one token may be played in any given round. Should a team play their token and win their round, they shall be rewarded with a second token!

ROUND 1: the role reversal

Have you ever experienced an attraction so monumental that you wished you could remain enveloped in its universe all day and night?

Now you can.

Have you ever retreated to your resort hotel and pondered what additional stories could be told in such a location?

Now they can.

Teams, for your first challenge, you will design a new Resort Hotel based off an existing attraction from any Disney Park…

AND

You will design a new attraction based off an existing Resort Hotel!

Special rules: in each case, the attraction/hotel combination choose should be part of the same Disney Resort. Example: if you chose to base a hotel on Sounds Dangerous starring Drew Carey, you should locate that hotel at Walt Disney World.

This project will be due on Sunday, October 27th at 11:59am Disneyland Resort time.

We are now at 21 total players, so if anyone else wants to be a late addition to bring us to a nice even 22, let me know. But that will also have to be the absolute maximum capacity for the game.
