I had a major struggle choosing a winner here. Both projects had unique strengths that make them quite difficult to contrast with one another. And I’ve gone back and forth multiple times, even today. But, we have to have a winner.

And that winner is

Team Rogue

The Marlu Outback Trail was clearly a passion project and one of the strongest individual contributions to the entire game thus far. Team Phoenix’s project was very top loaded and headliner heavy, Team Rogue’s was a bit more rounded out with supplementary offerings, dining, etc. Both projects were spectacular, and it was really difficult to arrive at a winner.​

Team Phoenix currently leads 3-2

Project 06 will wrap up on the 5th of this month. After that, the prompts are going to speed up a bit so we can still reach our end date on time. I may tweak a few things here and there so the workload isn’t too heavy.

My heart is breaking for the people of Los Angeles right now. This is just awful. I’m praying for all those impacted by the fires.

I’m so sorry, everyone.

I just don’t have it in me right now to keep this going. I’m feeling extremely bitter and joyless and I’m not sure how long that is going to last. But it’s certainly having an impact on my ability to be present and give you all the attention and support you deserve as players.

As of now, I am permanently stepping down from hosting competitions. I’m not abandoning our community entirely, I am just not in the proper headspace at the moment to act in a leadership capacity.

I am very grateful for everyone who participated up to this point. And I am extremely sorry for not being able to follow through on getting this to its conclusion.

And what if those who wanted to could do a final project on a What-if style prompt with someone else stepping in as judge? I’m not beholden to this, but just wanted to get the idea out on the table.
