What happens to Pinocchio Haus when new fantasyland opens?

Isn't it going to put two quick services places pretty much right next door to each other? Is there risk of Pinocchio Haus closing as a result? We all know MK is lousy about having all available dining establishments open on a regular basis (*cough Tomorrowland Terrace, Tortuga Tavern cough*)

Thoughts?

Seeing as Fantasyland is one of the more crowded areas in the park, I'd imagine they'd still keep it around for dining capacity's sake

Let's be honest though. There's kinda a pretty serious history of bad dining decisions on the part of MK management. Just because something makes sense doesn't mean it's what they'll actually do you know?

It doesn't seem like a problem to me. esp with BOG turning to table service at night.

Fantasyland is pretty much the only land that is packed from opening to close (ignoring MS)

The outdoor dining area for Pinocchio's Village Haus is getting expanded, but whether or not crowds will continue to go to both locations remains to be seen.

Considering that the Be Our Guest Restaurant is supposed to be QS during the day and TS at night, I would imagine they would want Pinocchio's to open at the very least for the evening crowds.

FWIW though, if Pinocchio's went away, I wouldn't notice...in my adult years, I've only eaten there once and that was specifically because I HADN'T ever eaten there.

Great question. I think you may be onto something here. Many possibilities.

Nothing is happening to Pinoccchio's outside some modifications to exterior areas. It will continue to operate as it does today.

I love the look of Pinocchio's Village Haus, but man, the pizza! :p The menu needs an update more than anything IMO.

Seeing as how Columbia Harbor House is about as far away from Village Haus as BOG will be, and both current restaurants seem to be doing OK, I don't see that there will be much problem.

I'd hate to see anything happen to the Village Haus. It brings back too many memories from when I was a kids and our 1st family visit with my kids! I remember getting fish & chips there as a kid!

The bread sticks with marinara sauce are very good. They make a great snack to split with someone! I'm surprised they don't get more attention... unless they're not on the menu anymore!?!

The Mediterranean Salad is one of my favorite things to eat at MK. Everyone should try it at least once. Glad to hear nothing is changing. I figure it's like a McDonalds next to a Burger King. People are going to use both based on tastes (they're not going to have the same menu) and wait times.

I will have to try that. The MK is such a wasteland for variety in counter service--you have the Harbor House, which is great, and then it's just pizza, hamburgers, and odd things slathered in melted cheese.

It's always been my hope that someday PVH would become the queue for Small World, the current tiny upfront queue house for IASW would get demolished and Small World would get the grand facade it deserves (covering the entire building from PVH to the old skyway). Doing this would also widen the concourse between IASW and Peter Pan.

I could also see a nice fountain in front of the new entrance (like the one in Paris). Too bad the castle walls are going there now.

It'd also be pretty breathtaking to see it once you walk through the castle. The photo opps of the carousel with IASW behind it would be really nice, too.

That was my biggest shock when coming to the MK for the first time. When you're used to seeing what a big deal IASW is at DL, it's really disappointing when you see it minimalized at MK.

I know it'll never happen, but a guy can dream!!!

They really should consider this. There is plenty of room for switch backs in the PVH and the current queue for IASW really won't be necessary especially when the FLE opens completely.
