Check out the boxes on the right side on little foot bridges in the 20,000 Leagues lagoon, they have neat storage names on them like Disney Magic or Pixie Dust. A nice touch for a meet and greet.
If you remember, the theatre was rather barren for that kind of a show... It is my understanding that that area will be converted into the "museum" of Disney stuff for the 100 year celebration.
excuse me while i get technical for a little while. yes, the theater was EXTREMELY barren after Doug entered the stage...the last time i was there before it closed, the castmemebers that stand outside the waiting area were pretty much begging people to go inside!
as for the 100 year celebration, that was just a rumor...actually, i think that might have gotten started somewhere on one of these message boards...somewhere in the posts about ideas of what COULD be happening to the spot. of course, the "museum" i believe is going on Mickey Ave. though that could be something different than what i'm thinking of.
as for the actual cartoon itself...Doug has been successful since the mid-90's, maybe even early 90's. Nick just stopped making new shows. Disney just bought the rights within the past 3 or 4 years, though, right? but Doug has been around for years and years! and personally, i like Nick's version better! the Disney version makes Doug and his pals get into strange situations sometimes, whereas everyone had someone or a situation to relate to in the Nick version. but that's just my opinion. don't get me wrong, i like the Disney version just fine, i just prefer the Nick version.
