There's no sexy secret story here, so I'm not sure why people are hunting for one (you're not the first). The "official" story from Disney is exactly what happened. They wanted to have RoL ready for Earth Day. It wasn't. So they came up with the Jungle Book show to fill the space in the interim.

You know what, I actually applaud Disney on this Rivers of Light delay. They realized there were major issues with the gps system for the barges and although they very well could of just delayed it and leave that whole area vacant until its released, they quickly came up with what should be a great nighttime show using a lot of the ROL elements. Props to Disney for coming through with a temporary fix.

I have tried to get a reservation for dining package at Tusker House, but to no avail ( June 4). This whole thing is ridiculous! I can't even get to my FP+ because it says "we are unable to put this page together right now..."

If the Rivers of Light show isn't a vast improvement on the Jungke Book one they have a problem. Couldn't even see the main stage from our seats and the sound and lighting were awful.
