We have always stuck to doing EEMH but the last time we did them at Epcot it was insanely crowded. We are going again the first weekend in May and Epcot is the only one with EMH so I hope that it's not like that again.:brick:

But, on the other hand we have NEVER done the morning ones because it is hard to wake either one of us up haha but I am going to try my hardest this next trip to make it a must do :)

 I know what you mean. When we were on our honeymoon last October, we kept saying we were going to wake up early and hit the morning EMHs and nope. We were all talk. Just couldn't do it. I'm with you next time we are making it a priority. :animwink:

I've done the early EMH when traveling with my family-including kids and have done the late EMH. I'm not an early riser so I hated the early one's - I needed a nap by noon.

On my upcoming trip we will not be doing ANY early only Late - we're 3 girls (in our 20's and 30's) and plan on staying out late and sleeping in. A lot of the late EMH are until 2am or 3am so we're hoping less little kids and getting on some of the MK dark rides.

I'm also looking forward to a late night ride of HM on Friday the 13th...oooooo...spooky, and I love doing the Jungle Cruise at night. I'll take my newbie friends on JC in the day and again at night to see what they think - I'm hoping we get one of the...ahem...less than politically correct skippers for the late night ride.

I've been reading a lot about these late night skippers... Maybe I haven't been going late enough. Definitely on my to do list :animwink:

We have never really used the early EMH, we always do the late EMH, the rides are so cool at night, especially Splash Mountain.:sohappy:

It's really hot and miss for them - mostly happens when there are very few people on the boat and even if JC is open for late night EMH is often closes before the other rides, so you have to get there late enough for it to be slow but before they close up.

I can't even tell most of the jokes one of the guys said - but I have not looked at the head hunter the same way again :lookaroun

Early Morning has more benefits

There is one big benefit to going with the early morning hour... not only is the crowd much less... you can get fast passes for other times. You can't get a fast pass at night.
I did a late night at MK and that was great because I could just walk on the ride. That might be one place where there aren't as many people because they bring their little kids?

My family and I have tended to do the early morning EMH. We tend to get the most out of the early ones as usually by the end of a day in the parks we are too tired to stay out much later!

Night Owls

EEMH are best for our family, since my DD's first trip at the ripe old age of 4. We just can't seem to get moving early enough. But we are very good at sleeping in!:ROFLOL:

Oh that's awesome! My goal is to find one of those late night skippers who dont hold back when we go in October.

Morning EMH

We get up early:) There are no crowds and you can ride your faves many times before the crowds come in! I did EEMH & DHS and it was horrible! Still 90 minute plus wait for RnRC and TSM! I also did park hopper, but that was exhausting! Then we get back to our resort for a swim and dinner and start all over again:) I do love the magic of the parks @ night, but like I said, it is still quite crowded!

We do both. When we are there, it's open to close every day. On our very first trip with our daughter when she was 5 we would ask her if she wanted to go back to the resort and she was like NO WAY!! Now that she is 15 we can't get her out of bed even if we yell fire.:ROFLOL:

I love the night ones!!! I'm a night owl and I love being out at night under the stars, I find it to be very romantic and magical. Also I get sunburn really easily so it is nice to be walking around the parks not worrying about getting sunburn and the nice night cool breeze.

I do miss the bracelets they used to give for the night EMH!

I love Disney but I could never get up at 7 or 8am for it. I hate the morning time and would be tortured to even try to enjoy myself at that hour. On the flip side, I LOVE EMH at night. Staying in MK until 3am is the best; really, any of the parks late at night is pretty incredible. Yeah, the crowds may be better during the morning, but I'd rather take a bit of a crowd and be up all night. I think the parks at night are completely different and unique!

One time we went to USF from 9am to 9pm, and then took advantage of the MK EMH from 9:30pm to 3:00am. Needless to say I was very exhausted but wanted to keep on going. We made the mistake of going to Carousel of Progress at 2:00am. I couldn't keep my eyes open and was dozing off. On the rides I felt great, but as soon as I got out of the exit I was almost collapsing. AND then, the dreaded wait for the busses followed by a 30 min ride back to the hotel. I couldn't wait to get back to the room and we slept in until 2pm the next day - we were drained!

Not really either, although if I was forced to pick one, it would definitely be evening. We have been to WDW four times, 37 days in total, and I would say we have taken advantage of early or evening EMH's maybe a total of 3 times during those 37 days down there, if even that. We aren't really morning people; we tend to all be night owls at home (as you can tell by my 3-4am posts most days :lookaroun :ROFLOL:), but when we are down there on vacation I find we all seem to be in bed before midnight most nights and up by 9:30am most days. All the fresh air and walking usually tires us out, so we rarely stay in the parks past 11pm. After a good night's sleep, we are usually up and out the door around 10am or so the next morning, so we usually end up missing out on the morning EMH's too.

evening! when you stay until 3am, the parks are practically empty. We were able to stay on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain without getting back in line! :) It was during a busy season too, which left us pretty shocked.

The only EEMH we do is MK. It's a MUST do every trip! The kids are troopers, 1st year we went DD was 6 DS was 7, now 9 and 10. They LOVE it and so do we. There's nothing like MK at 2am. Splash 3 times in a row without getting off!! We always head to Fantasy land about the last 45 mins and it is desserted! There are charachters everywhere and no one standing in line. We hop from ride to ride and photo op to photo op. It's magical! We always make our do nothing day the day after EEMH at MK. We've never attended any of the early and always heard that DHS and Epcot were way to crowded. This next trip, June 5th for 10 days can't wait, we will be doing MEMH once in each park except MK those will be the only evening we attend, then it's off to the waterparks for the rest of the day. With this plan we're hoping to beat not only the crowds but the heat!! It's much more fun to be hot at the waterpark than hot standing in line! :sohappy:

We love Magic Kingdom after midnight! BTMRR and Splash are completely different rides in the dark. There is a different feel to the whole park.

We need time for things to happen.
Morning.

However we do do both.

I am not a morning person...EXCEPT when it comes to Disney.

I'm actually a night owl by nature and the late night EMH suit me fine except..
They're ALWAYS crowded and defeat the purpose of EMH. :hammer:

Morning EMH's have always been a home run crowd wise --except last year at DHS..good God there was more people there than I'd EVER seen at DHS in my entire WDW experience. We ran right over to TSMM and it was already a 48min stand by and FP was at 10AM

Otherwise Morning EMH have always been the way to go.
