What exactly is DisneyQuest?

It's a big waste of money! Honestly the only things I found worth doing were the Bumper cars and Cyber Space Mt. other than that I coould have just about the same amount of fun in Pop Century's or Tomorrowlands arcade.
PotC? Jungle Cruise? All the classic games? The creative sections? Aladdin Virtual Reality? All stuff you can't do in Tomorrow land.

I don't know if I would pay to get in, but it sure is great when you have the water park option!

I wouldn't pay to go in either and certainly would not waste a water park day on it! It should be free admission and then maybe have a card that you charge up for individual attractions and games like a Brunswick Zone.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
DisneyQuest is the ideal location to lose your children - whether you intended to or not.
All those levels . . . all those stairs . . . oy vey.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't take a water park day, but I may be wrong.

Hi I've been going to Disney for years and when we go to Downtown Disney I always see the DisneyQuest building and wondered what it was.

It's a waste of time and money.

With that said, if you're local and don't have any pressing time or financial constraints (which applies to only a minority of the population), then it's worth checking out at least once. Whether you will enjoy it or not depends almost exclusively on who you are with. If you go with a friend(s) that you enjoy spending time with, then you'll enjoy the time shared in DQ. If you go alone, unless you favor solitude with entertainment, you're probably not going to have a wonderful time.

Most of the games/attractions are incredibly interactive, and many people would prefer to share that experience with people that they know rather than complete strangers. A lot of the games/attractions also carry wait times (like any theme park), and it may help to be in the company of others.

Quick tip ladies, if youre going on CyberSpace Mountain, and your coaster has a lot of loops, DO NOT wear a low cut top, the people waiting outside watching you on the screen may see something they do not want to see, or maybe they do want to see depending on who it is :p

My kids and husband LOVE it ages 10,14,18,19... I am along for the ride so to speak... :) If you have a water park option on your tickets, or if you are an PAP holder it is included. You are right it is 5 stories of interactive games, and video games... would not say "for children" because several of Int. Games you have to be 54 inches to ride. Its about 38.00 to get in but they do offer 1/2 price nights (not advertised). I think you would love it... Its a different side to Disney... :)
Thats us too! LOL I sit in the Cyber Cafe... sigh... why I dunno LOL My son has been there since it opened... You'd think he would skip a year... but noooo LOL Its a must do after dinner in DTD EVERY trip!

We have been several times when we had it included on our tickets. It's a fun way to pass a couple of hours. I like Cyber Space Mountain and Pirates the best. We also spend a lot of time playing the old arcade games. If you already paid for the water parks why not check it out if you have free time. you don't have to pay for anything.

Very good point. For me, it would be the difference between Rosie O'Donnel being in there, as opposed to Kate Upton being in there!

I personally kind of like it. There are a few floors with arcade games, a couple of virtual reality things, a bumper car type game where you shoot balls at the other cars (funnest thing ever), you can build a roller coaster simulation which is pretty fun, a virtual raft ride, and there's a Pirate's 3D game on a pirate ship. There's a creative floor which I think is more for kids to do little clip art type stuff. One of the things I really like is the class on how to draw a disney character (show up early if you want a spot). I think it's worth doing once, especially if you are paying for it as a package along with your water parks, but don't plan your whole day around it.
