What does the Q in Timmothy Mouse mean?

As far as I can find, using my disney encylopedia (yes I'm a dork) and searching the internet extensively, the Q doesn't official stand for anything. In fact many sources don't even list the Q as being part of his name. Although if anyone has found differently and could tell me where they learned it then that would be great trivia!
