What do you use? - External chargers in the parks

I think @21stamps had a really great point about the in park fuel rods. If you have more than one person who might need to use it, that might be the best option as you could use it, then get another rod for another member of your party, then another one for another one, etc. With the ones you take with you there will be a finite amount of juice you can use per day.

My travel companion is four and not allowed to take her tablet into the park with us, so I don't have this logistic to worry about, but it may be something to consider.

I have an Anker and I absolutely love it. It's not one of the big ones, but it can fully charge my phone twice while on a full charge. I think I paid somewhere between $15-$20 for it off of Amazon. Definitely worth the investment.

We have several of these (I have one and kids each keep one in their school and soccer bags): RAVPower 16750mAh Power Bank purchased on Amazon. Can charge iPhone multiple times, or two at a time, stays charged forever while stored. Highly recommend them.

We use the
AUKEY USB C Power Bank, 20000mAh Portable Charger USB C
We had 3 iPhone 8's and 3 6s's we could charge multiple phones at a time and never ran out of power for any of the phones. Most days we had 1 phone charging at a time some times 2. this was the best and fasted charger that we have owned. we have had over 5 different types and sizes. This was nice because we could use it all day and charge it at night. just make sure the charger for this has enough power output to charge this at a higher rate.

I have a OnePlus. I just charge it overnight and i'm good all day. If i do need to charge it from non stop usage, i can charge it 50% in about 20 minutes.
I have one, too. I've yet to drag the powerbank out on a visit. Great battery life.
But, I always carry an Anker, either 5or10KmAh, just in case.

I've got an Anker. Not sure which model, but I can get 3-4 charges for my Galaxy S10+ out if it, and it'll charge 75% of the charge on my phone in around 20-30 minutes. Good to recharge it while eating. Paid around $25 if I remember correctly. I've been using it for a year and a half now and absolutely love it.

and that's with a phone that will normally last 2 days on a charge. But if I'm filming video on it, where I'll usually shoot in 4K, then I can start using that charge up fairly quickly. Even so, I'll usually only need one charge from the battery pack a day, so a fully charged Anker can last me all trip long.

To me it is-if you're not constantly using your phone all day at the parks, your battery shouldn't run out. Other than taking a few pictures and maybe using the WiFi for a few minutes, my phone stays in my pocket. I do understand that people who constantly use their phone all day, especially if it's a bright day and they have to crank the brightness up on their phone to see the screen, will need to charge it on the go.

If you ever find out the model please let me know -- that's exactly what I'm looking for! :) I was hoping to find an upgrade to my old, tiny Anker

I can't be absolutely positive, but it sure looks like the Anker Powercore+ 10050. It's right about $40 on Amazon right now. I bought mine on sale at Walmart at the time, and it was a year and a half ago. But honestly, it's going to be hard to go wrong with any of the Ankers that are above the $20-$25 price point.
Here's the link to the one I'm fairly sure I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K6T7AFM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_zKvCDbHZ8JNJ8

I've used a few different Ankers - they all have worked fine. the problem I have is that the ones I have were slim and black - very unobtrusive and now 2 of them are now lost inside my house somewhere. (Seriously, it's been over 6 months. how can I not have run into this thing yet?!?)

all, I ended up going with this one: Anker PowerCore 20100mAh

I narrowed it down to 3 Anker choices. There was one that was cheap but not as strong, but would fit well in my pocket. There was another that was strong, could charge 2 phones fully twice, and small -- but was known to melt chords. And then there was the one I bought, which was a little too big for my liking, but one of my friends referred to it as a "beast" so we will see

thanks again for all your suggestions and references :)
