After looking through the photo albums, i was just curious what type of cameras do you guys use.

I use a Sony 5 MP DSC-V1 and a sony TRV-350 for video sometimes with a wide angel lens.

Digital Video I use the Sony TRV22. My old camera was a Sharp 8mm and before that was a RCA shoulder cam.

I shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel for stills and a Sony TRV230 Digital Video Camera.

But all of my current photo album pictures were taken with my Fuji 6900z digital camera.

Canon elf 110 for the pictures.

and a Canon X60 (I think that is what it is called) for the digital video.

and I LOVE them both. lightweight, easy to use. I use 'em so much my family groans when I pull them out at family functions.

Popkid, how do you like the s400? I am looking for a pocket-able camera for times when I don't want to lug the DSLR around and had though about either that one of the A80.

Now use a humble Fuji FinePix1400Zoom. Before that when I used real film, I used a Canon Eos and Olmpus OM10.
Also have a Samsung Hi-8 camcorder.

Today i had the misfortune of using a Canon Digtal elph like camera. Couldnt find the manual settings for the life of me. Ended up taking the picture with my camera and emailing it to the guests.

Def Not User friendly....

hey pisco, i love the little sucker... i have it with me ALL the time, and i mean ALL the time. keep in mind, it's a point and shoot - with very limited manual controls - but it's perfect for those times when (just like you said) you dont want to lug the DSLR around.

battery life on the sucker is pretty damn amazing, and i've been more than happy with the picture quality. i've got the underwater housing for it as well, but haven't really been able to take advantage of it as much as i would like.

if you have any specific questions about the camera, just let me know - be glad to answer them...

pretty harsh on the little guy, no?

the menus might not be the most intuitive i've even experience, but nothing that a little time with the instruction manual wont fix

to get to the limited manual settings you need to switch to M mode and then press the function button. from there you can adjust your exposure compensation, white balance, ISO (50 - 400), slow shutter speed (up to 15"), picture quality and size, as well as some picture effects (black and white, sepia, that sorta thing).

I use a Casio QV-R4 (4.0 megapixels). Got it just over a year ago when I was in California, I really like it. It has lots of "best shot" settings and cool features like that, which I like a lot. I use it for all my holiday photos on my site.
